All you need is a chair, wall and seven minutes. 7-Minute Workout is a simple, yet effective, Windows Phone app to get your heart pumping, muscles working and sweat flowing. If you need a "easy as pie" workout app, 7-Minute Workout is one to consider.

It can't get much easier that how 7-Minute Workout is laid out. You have a "play" button on the main screen to start the exercise routine, a settings button and an "about" button.

Settings cover running the app under the lockscreen and disabling the lockscreen all together. The "about" button gives you options to contact the developer, review the app, and buy the full version if you're running the trial version of 7-Minute Workout.

7-Minute Workout

When you're ready to begin, tap the "play" button and 7-Minute Workout will guide you through the exercises with brief resting periods in between each exercise. A chime will sound when it's time to change exercises.

7-Minute Workout will run you through exercises such as push-ups, crunches, jumping jacks, step ups, squats, and more. The goal isn't any number of repetitions but rather do as many reps as you can in the time period.

All totaled, 7-Minute Workout is a clean looking exercise app for your Windows Phone 8 device that will wear you out. It's a healthy collection of exercises that maximizes the impact in seven minutes.

Try the website 7-min.com. It works on my wp8, it might work on 7.8. Also you should do this at least three times a day. Twenty minutes of exercise a day is recommended.

I took a screen capture video of the website 7-min.com, and made it into a video and put it on the phone. That's great that this is out too.

Brilliant! I was reading the article and research about this method the other week, I've done the work out a few times (not as daily as I'd have liked, oops) and yeah, it's a great workout. Depending on your fitness level you'll probably want to go through the entire set more than once to feel the benefit though.
 
I've been using my tablet to show a photo of the exercises and using a timer app so having it all on my phone is just great! Hope they do an RT version too.

I just recently read about this, (in a New York Times article or such..) Then a bunch of applicable apps show up on Windows Phone. I suppose that's a good thing! Getting the latest trends quickly and all...
I'm still going to the gym though.

This workout is over a year old, just recently came back into the spotlight. Still good to see it made into an app. I guess, but you could just use the website.

Really? You can't afford 99 cents? I've got to call BS on that. Let me explain something to you, if you have a smartphone you are not poor. I'm sick of people complaining about having to pay such small amounts to developers. If they've made something that you think is useful then they deserve paying, same as any other profession.

Then again, the number 7 is a mythical number certified by aliens! So we cannot have 6 minutes workouts, unfortunately :(

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.

Just read Tim Ferriss' The 4-Hour Body. I'm not overweight myself, but discovered it via Gizmodo a few years back. I turned a couple people, who had trouble with other diet solutions, onto the book and later, thanked me for this recommendation because it really worked.
