AfricaWeather gets an official app for Windows Phone with WeatherSA

WeatherSA

Servicing 1.4 million Africans, the AfricaWeather service (www.africaweather.com) is a useful and often necessary resource for those on the go. With live storm tracking and great coverage, Windows Phone users could certainly use a nice native app, and now they do.

WeatherSA, developed by Matt 'RogueCode' Cavanagh, is now on the Store and the app is so good looking, we wish we could have it beyond the borders of South Africa. The app features seven-day forecasts across four time slots, multiple Live Tiles, live storm tracking, radar and lightning maps, all wrapped up nicely in a thoroughly Modern Windows Phone design. The app is full of features and as a 1.0 it certainly looks outstanding.

There is not much else to say about WeatherSA. If you are in South Africa and you want to take advantage of the best weather service on Windows Phone, you need to grab this free app.

Read more about it on RogueCode's blog or just download it now.

A Nigerian version of something like this would be cool, considering how it almost rains daily in Lagos these days.

Yay for South Africa! Love seeing more and more of our apps on the Windows Phone platform. Maybe might review the app on my blog after playing around with it. If only they would add the Capitec app too that would be awesome!

Huh? What you mean live tile is coming soon? My city (Durban) is pinned to the start screen and it works really well I'm actually amazed by this app and I have a few weather apps but I have decided to use this one as my main one, if only I could link it to Cortana (wishful thinking).

Owjah thanks i pinned it its working now i guess my wifi wanst connecting cause it went blank it working now im going to use this one as my main and Bing weather as my secondary

Some of the more advanced data requires a subscription, but there is a ton for free. In terms of storms and maps, the free subscription gives you the whole country view. The only limitation is that you cannot drill down into provincial view (but you can zoom manually by flipping the phone on its side).

Basically, the free base level is more data than most people will need.

Guys im sorry for drifting of the topic i just wanted to ask where do i get shell covers for lumia 1320 i went to vodacom and they told me that the only colour they have is black now im looking for different colors such as yellow and red...does any one know

Vodacom are useless when it comes to Nokia accessories you should know this by now. :P hahaha. BIDORBUY is definitely your best option they have a wide range of accessories.
