Another live video demonstration of Windows Phone 7

Wish we could tell you that there was something new or amazing in this extensive look at Windows Phone 7 being demoed last night in New York City, but alas it's just more eye candy. InToMobile did a good job though and at least the video is top notch.

We do get to see some pink tiles (WP7--for her) and how they can be moved around as well as the general guided tour. We wonder if WP7 has a native picture editor in it, sort of like the one in Windows Mobile, you know to crop, resize and do some basic fixes--we're betting on no.

Anyways, watch the full video after the jump.

Another live video demonstration of Windows Phone 7

At the very least the OS is extremely responsive and reacts to every touch as you would like it to. I know and it has been stated several times that the OS is under-featured when compared to other current OS's but at MSFT is doing serious quality control. Which is what I want to keep seeing!

Ya, everytime we see a new video with a newer build it's getting faster and smoother. If the performance is there it will keep people happy while the features come in updates.

From what I heard at Tech-Ed there will not be one built in but if you download a editor from the market it will be backended into your normal pictures. So you won't have to open the editor to edit, just look at your normal pictures. Very cool if you think about the capabilites of other featrues and programs running together like that.

I know this isn't showing us anything new UI and app wise but it does seem to be a newer build and it's faster and smoother imo. It seems the performance is coming in good as we get closer to the RTM.

Oh, there is something new. Just a slight but very handy improvement. It is at 2:37. In older builds The map stayed on top while scrolling. Now it scrolls with the rest of the content which is way better. I bet there are much more of these tiny enhancements we don't see now but will be glad to have in the final version.

Looks horrible as usual. They way they have the words across the top of the screen (i.e. People, or Pictures) makes you want a bigger screen. This will fail miserably.

I dissagree completely. I love how it looks and acts, just like I love my Zune. Much better then the outdated Ipod UI.

yes i agree with you! i love my zune ui! its like no other out there and thats why im so intrigued by wp7! the ui is like no other on the market and its pure awesomeness

This makes the iphone really look like a dumbphone...
I'm not crazy about the big block icons on home screen but I would think that will be customizable...
I have upgrade available right now and I was thinking of the HTC Tilt2-(ATT)-I think I'll wait..

I like that there seems to be one tile for Outlook, a different one for Hotmail, and a Gmail one on the way according to what the guy said. I was under the impression that there would be just one e-mail tile.

It's good to see the pink color of the tiles, this means they must have expanded the choice of customizable colors.

You could just have one tile for all your e-mail, but the OS lets you have individual tiles for pretty much everything, so you can have one for each email account you have if you want.

i'm on a slow connection so i can't view the video, but i have to say, i'm really digging the CGA Mode 4 (?) inspired color scheme.

I am also happy with my Zune.I had a few problems connecting my Zune 30 to my wireless network, but besides that,I have had absolutely zero problems...

Too bad MS is afraid to kill WM6.5 with louder promotion for WP7. WM6 is dead already, most new phones coming out right now are Android. All WinMo announced hardware are all scheduled for post-October.

But they should launch a Droid-like campaign and claim a new status. Their image needs it.

But ironing out bugs should be priority one though :-)))))

Must have :O
have now iPhone 3g for almost 2 years, upgraded to ios4 and I like the folders but I want NEXT Generation user interface! Looks like Microsoft is going to have it. Going to try and play with now Android but I'm sure I? will have in December a windows phone 7 :) (HTC HD 3 hopefully or HTC Mondrian ) love my Zune HD so that is another reason. Zune software with the same next gen interface is also lightning fast compared to iTunes clutter !!!

There are things I like, I really like the calendar and mail features. I don't like what I've seen with the home screens. If it's going to be big an blockly I can't see this a a business phone.

I hope it gets better wtih future builds. That demo looks klunky, especially when he was doing the initial people demo. Notice how long it took to go back to the people screen.
