AppHub now open for the 23 recently announced countries [Developers]

WP Central

Microsoft has announced the opening of AppHub submissions to the 23 new countries added to the pool of support. Developers in these countries (and beyond) will be able to submit their work to the localised Marketplaces, which will open up to consumers in the near future.

To recap on the newly added countries: Bahrain, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Vietnam. The total number of supported markets is now at a respectable 63.

A quick reminder to developers - it's now reportedly taking more than 7 days to approve Marketplace submissions. Something to consider when keeping to announced release dates.

Bruno H says:

iTunes Appstore is only available in 51 countries. I cant Believe that Microsoft surpassed market reach that quickly. Now they only have to win the sales numbers to :-)

IceDree says:

When Microsoft opens the MarketPlace in the new countries (i.e. Saudi Arabia) , will we be able to buy Apps ?(like Apple AppStore) or we gonna have access to free Apps section only ? (Like the Android Market \ Google Play)

WPMan says:

The slow down in sign off suggests significant submissions. That's the best news in this article.

While as a windows phone user/dev I am glad to hear that the marketplace is growing, good signs. However as a dev 7 day turn around is very frustrating, 4 days was bad in my opinion. I would like to see maybe a faster turn around if I reduced my country list I submit to. I hope they are working on expanding their auto testing to try and reduce this load and get feedback to devs faster. I'd really love to see more detailed info regarding the status of an app in the process of ceritification
