Pocket Magnifier is one of those neat apps that you may not have known about for your Lumia Windows Phone. Developed in collaboration with Royal National Institute of Blind people (RNIB), Pocket Magnifier lets you use the Lumia rear camera to zoom in for text and clarity.

This morning, version 1.2 is live in the Store and with it comes the Microsoft name in front instead of Nokia's, an app trend that started a few months ago. The UI has also switched from olive green to the more familiar royal blue and the app is now Windows Phone 8.1 only.

The NFL is currently under way in the US and Microsoft is heavily involved both on the field and in the living room. The company is not only providing players and coaches with specially designed Microsoft Surfaces (with a side-line viewing system), but owners of the Xbox One are able to take full advantage of the available NFL app. Gone were the days of simply watching the sport. Now it's possible to really dive into the fantasy side of NFL. New adverts have also been released to show how everything ties together.

Amongst a slew of Lumia announcements in India, Microsoft also sneaked in a useful companion to use with your Lumia Windows Phones. The company launched the Microsoft Screen Sharing HD-10 accessory, a Miracast receiver with NFC support, which allows users to share their phone's content with other people through any HDMI display.

Launched at the IFA 2014 in Berlin last month, the HD-10 offers a seamless way to showcase your phone's screen in full HD on a big screen wirelessly. The possibilities are endless - from watching movies, playing games, flicking through photos, listening to music, or sharing PowerPoint presentations at the office.
