HTC has sent out press invites for an August 19th event where many are expecting to see the HTC One M8 running Windows Phone. Otherwise known as the HTC One W8.

While all of this is still speculation, some are seeing the possibilities of a 5-inch Super LCD3 Windows Phone with Gorilla Glass 3 and an aluminum house as rather enticing. But is it enough to lure you away from the sleek build of the Lumia line of Windows Phones?

One of the great customizations that Windows Phone 8.1 brings to the table is the ability to use transparent tiles and Start Screen backgrounds. OneStart is a Windows Phone 8.1 app that taps into this feature and delivers a nice range of Start Screen background options.

From creating a colorful crystal pattern to slightly blurring a photo to simply choosing a solid accent color, OneStart makes a nice first impression.

A couple of years ago, World of Rabbit - The Dig became a mini hit on Windows Phone. The game is a wonderfully animated time management game set in a world where rabbits wage an underground battle against robots.

The sequel to World of Rabbit - The Dig was released in the Windows Phone Store the other day and takes your rabbits on a high seas adventure. World of Rabbit - The Crossing shares the originals lively animations and you still have to battle those pesky robots. Just this time around you do so in an arcade styled game.

Available for low-memory devices, World of Rabbit - The Crossing compliments the original rather nicely and is a fantastic addition to the Windows Phone gaming library.

If you hate flies, this game is going to be very fun. Originally launched for the iPhone and iPad last month, FlyOut has just come out for Android and Windows Phone devices, too. Waves of flies are moving along and you must do whatever is necessary to stop them. Even if it means using machine guns or bazookas.

We've installed it on our Nokia Lumia 930. Head past the break to watch the gameplay video.

The Lumia 1520 is in many ways the perfect Windows Phone assuming, of course, that you are okay with a 6-inch display. However, if there is one Achilles Heel that only occasionally rears its head it is the 'scroll/tap' issue. Although more a nuisance than anything, the bug randomly occurs when scrolling on the display using a swipe, but instead the device registers it as a 'tap.' This hardware "misreading" results in the phone opening links, tweets, photos, or hyperlinks when the user only intended to scroll up or down.

Ever since the Lumia 1520 started exhibited this problem, it was largely assumed to be a software (firmware) problem, or a screen-calibration tweak. The randomness of the bug and subsequent software releases though calls this explanation into question. Even more, some users have it and others do not.

Now, a new theory grounded in the hardware of the device appears to go a long way in explaining the problem and even how to solve it.

The Lumia 730, known internally as "Superman," is a forthcoming successor to the mid-range Lumia 720 from early 2013. Yesterday, the first photos of the device came forward, along with the new firmware, codenamed 'Debian Red.' At the time, the one piece of the puzzle missing came down to specifications. Luckily, we now have some more information to connect the dots.

According to our source of the original photos the Lumia 730 looks to be the ideal mid-range Windows Phone 8.1 device, as the specifications (if accurate) should please most at this price range.
