Australian developers: publish apps to the Marketplace to win a Lumia 710 or 800

Lumia 710 800

We've lost count of just how many developer giveaways Microsoft and Nokia have held in the past, which isn't a bad thing. The developer support has been pretty solid on the platform (though there are some issues here and there) and it looks as though we're set to see another giveaway kick off in Australia.

Limited to one device per qualified developer, 3 newly submitted apps will earn a Lumia 710 while submitting 4 to the Windows Phone Marketplace will unlock a brand new Lumia 800 (limited stock). Here are a few points to consider about the offer:

  • Qualifying apps must be published between August 31st and November 2nd, 2012.
  • Publish 3 new apps for a Nokia Lumia 710 (limited to first 50 developers to publish 3 apps) or 4 new apps for a Nokia Lumia 800 (limited to first 10 developers to publish 4 apps). The offer is limited to 1 phone per developer.
  • Only Australian developers are eligible.

In essence, developers can win a free Lumia Windows Phone for doing what they do best. Pretty neat, eh? Check out more information on Dave Glover's AU MSDN blog.

That's a picture of a 900...

Well spotted, fixed :-)

schlubadub says:

Setting it to 3 or 4 apps is ridiculous and just inspires crapware or derivative apps that could be 1 app...

I was thinking the same thing, but we could get lucky and get a gem or two in there.
