Bollywood Hungama makes a comeback on Windows Phone 8 for Bollywood fans

Bollywood Hungama

Bollywood Hungama (www.bollywoodhungama.com) is the most read Bollywood portal worldwide. Published by Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the largest aggregator, developer, publisher, and distributor of Bollywood and South-Asian entertainment content in the world, the official Bollywood Hungama app has just arrived on the Windows Phone Store.

Some of you old-timers on Windows Phone might remember that the Bollywood Hungama app has been there for Windows Phone since as early as 2012 Q2. It’s still there, but hasn’t been updated all this while. Now, instead of an update to that app, another official app has made its debut on the Windows Phone Store.

Bollywood Hungama

The app features IMDb-like database of movies including the latest ones in theatres with their promos, videos, and reviews. The celebrity section gives you wallpapers, news, movie details, photos, and videos of your favorite celebrities. It’s funny though that the wallpapers are the ones they have on the Web and are formatted in size for use on computers. Of course, the wallpaper management of Windows Phone takes care of it in most cases. There’s also a compilation of all magazine covers where the particular actor was featured in.

There are also separate sections for Bollywood news, promos, videos, and film reviews. The app features a jukebox so you can listen to latest Bollywood numbers. In case you haven’t tried yet, check out the other Hungama app for a broad music experience.

Download the Bollywood Hungama app for free for Windows Phone 8 devices from the Windows Phone Store. It’s a nicely designed app with a modern user experience and exhaustive content, and if you’re a movies fan, it’s a great app for a quick read or drool. Give it a try, and let us know what you think of it.

It seems like you are having a busy week reviewing all these india-specific apps! :)

I thought that was Daniel on the cover lol

In the words of Daniel Tosh, "is it racist?"

I don't think Daniel Rubino is Indian.

Dats Shahrukh Khan :)

Just an angry looking Daniel lol

And there are a few more in line! Too many official apps landing on Store. I'm not complaining!

Thanks for covering all the official apps Abhishek, this way we get to know about apps sooner and also the perception about app-gap between WP8 and ios/android in the Indian market will be greatly reduced.
