Today Microsoft added two new pieces of hardware to its accessories arsenal, the Sculpt Comfort Mouse and Sculpt Mobile Mouse. The two pieces of input hardware are designed for Windows 8 and allow users to navigate the OS with ease.
The Sculpt Comfort mouse features a touch sensitive blue strip with a white Windows logo, known as the Windows touch tab, on the right side. The tab allows users to navigate Windows 8 with the touch or swipe of their thumb. The bright blue tab can also be clicked in, delivering the user to the Start screen just as a regular Windows logo key would do.
Own a Windows Phone? Own a car? If the answer to both is yes, then you need a car charger. If you want your car charger to stand out from the typical coiled chargers, take a look at the TYLT Band Car Charger.
The TYLT uses a half inch wide flat band instead of the traditional coiled, springy cord you'd find on most chargers. To add to the TYLT's ability to stand out, the charger comes in four colors.
Windows 8 tablets are a great option for those wanting portable, compact options for their computing needs. We've taken a look at the Samsung ATIV Smart PC and now we turn our sights on the Acer Iconia W510 tablet.
The Acer is a smidgen smaller than the Samsung or even the Microsoft Surface series, sporting a 10.1" CrystalBrite LED-backlit TFT LCD instead of a 11.6" screen. While the W510 may be smaller, it doesn't skimp on features. The Acer Iconia W510 is a really nice option to consider if you're in the market for a compact Windows 8 tablet at a decent price.
If there is one thing Lumia 920 owners are happy about, it’s their camera. So it’s finally nice to see some aftermarket-accessories build off of what Nokia has started (though personally, we’d like to see Nokia get involved in this area too).
We’ve covered some magnetic lens adapters in the past, and while “cheap” they did offer users a new creative ability with their phones. After all, if you’re a good photographer, you can make “art” out of anything and those lenses enabled some neat options.
Now we have a 12x telephoto lens that comes out of Guangdong, China and it goes for just slightly less than $20 (plus shipping). We ordered ours through Amazon.com and it took about 10 days or so for the product to arrive.
While a review of the Blackberry Mini Stereo Speaker may sound like it's better suited for our friends over at Crackberry.com, the tiny Bluetooth speaker works rather well with our Windows Phones.
The Mini Stereo Speaker is compact, has very good audio quality and has decent battery life. While the mini speaker works great as a external speaker for listening to music, it may not be very practical as a hands-free solution for your Windows Phone.
One of the biggest surprises coming out of GDC 2013 for me was undoubtedly PowerA’s announcement that its MOGA Bluetooth controller SDK would be coming to Windows Phone. On iOS and Android, videogame controller accessories are becoming increasingly popular with core gaming fans. Such peripherals can add more precise control and a console-like experience to smartphones. Sure, they can impact portability but they’re great at home and other places where you’d be playing for an extended length of time.
Windows Phone has always been a bit behind on peripheral support. We don’t have a Bluetooth keyboard, for instance. But Windows Phone 8 does add the ability for apps to communicate with Bluetooth. That ability now makes it possible for hardware add-ons like the MOGA Pro Controller to work with Windows Phone 8 games!
Head past the break for full details on the MOGA Pro Controller and a hands-on video.

Ready for something cool? One of our favourite booths here at MWC has been the Qi wireless charging booth, it’s small in comparison to some companies but it’s showing off a few devices that sort of define the term ‘gadget lust’. With Nokia announcing two new Lumia devices on Monday that both have wireless charging capability, the vision of “wireless charging everywhere” is becoming ever closer.
You’ll find a full titillating gallery after the break, and we’re also going to call out a few of the devices specifically that piqued our interest. That first image up top though you might recognise, it’s the Tylt Vu which we covered just over a month ago when it was up for pre-order. Coming in several striking colours (although we only saw this yellow one), this charger would not look out of place in Nokia’s accessory line up.
The DICOTA Hard Cover snaps right over the back panel offering slim protection for your Lumia 900. Made of impact resistant hard plastic, this case follows the shape of your device for a perfect fit. The stylish patterns let you add a personal touch to your Lumia 900 while leaving access to the screen, camera, ports, and buttons of the device. Comes in purple and blue.
Finally! a quality sounding Nokia Monster headset! - My exact thoughts as I listened to a track straight from my own Lumia 920 paired to Nokia's Monster branded headset only a few moments before.
Here are MWC Nokia have announced a slew of accessories, mostly focussing arround the wireless charging being offered with the new Lumia 720 and 520. However there are also a few of the older accessories on show for us to try out, and despite the purity pro headset winning an award at CES, we haven't yet put the cups over our ears - that changed today.
Hopefully last week you caught my comparison between the Fitbit One and Nike FuelBand as devices to help measure your activity. In addition we’re hoping you joined our Fitbit group, where you can also win a prize (we just hit 200 members!).
As we continue our Fitness Month here at Mobile Nations, we’ll continue to explore how technology can help improve our health. Today, we’re talking about a scale. Yes, a thing to measure your weight and this is by far the oddest “review” I’ve had to do.
The Aria scale (made by Fitbit) ties in nicely with their One fitness activity tracker. Think of it as the other half of the equation. The scale is not cheap: it goes for $130 on Amazon, which last we checked is hella expensive for something that may depress you every day you use it.
But my fellow tech geeks, this scale has Wi-Fi. So is it worth it? Read on to get my answer.
Pros:
High quality. Bragging rights. Your scale now has Wi-Fi.
BodyGuardz HD Anti-glare ScreenGuardz are custom designed to protect your Nokia Lumia 920 screen while reducing annoying glare at the same time. These invisible protectors are made of an ultra-slim polymer and shield your screen from abrasive elements such as keys and dust. Includes 2 protectors per pack.
There are only a few Windows 8 laptops in production that we can consider to be the ‘high end’, machines with exacting build quality and specifications to match. While many PC makers are content to push out hum drum machines with middling specs and so so performance the same cannot be said for Lenovo and their ThinkPad range. Over the years their quality and reliability have become legend amongst the most demanding of laptop buyers.
The ThinkPad X1 comes in a body woven from Carbon fibre in a style similar to that of the current crop of Ultrabooks. Lenovo seems keen on finally shunting the look of their machines forwards and have recently adopted Chicklet keyboards and of course the wedge shape body design we have all come to recognize of late. I’ll be kicking the tires on the X1 to see how well Lenovo have melded the heritage of ThinkPad with the modern styling of an Ultrabook.

February is Fitness Month here at Mobile Nations, and thanks to our Android, BlackBerry, iOS, webOS, and Windows phones and tablets, we have a host of new options for getting in shape and staying healthy.
Regardless of your platform of choice, or whether you stick to one type of device or many, there are a ton of great options to choose from now. Georgia is spearheading Fitness Month for us this year, and she's going to show you just 10 of her favorites, and she's going to do it in just 2 minutes.
Most of these will work for a variety of different phone and tablet sizes, running a variety of different operating systems and versions. I couldn't find alternatives for all of them, however, so if you know of some, tell us about them!
The DualPro Hard Case protects your Nokia Lumia 822 with a shock absorbing inner layer of silicone topped with an acrylic outer shell.
