Clove sporting wide selection of Windows Phones, some available for pre-order

HTC WP

Lots and lots of Windows Phones

UK retailer Clove is a strong supporter of Windows Phone, if its product listings are anything to go by. Not only is the retailer sporting the Samsung ATIV S, which we covered previously, but Clove also now has the HTC 8X, HTC 8S, Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 available online.

Clove has supported Windows Phone by stocking previous generation hardware too, it's good to see retailers continuing to take stock and push the platform. As the ATIV S, HTC 8X and 8S are available to pre-order already, Clove has price points set at £442, £399 and £224 (all including VAT) respectively.

The company expects stock to arrive for the ATIV S by late October, while the HTC 8X is slated for November 2nd and 8S on November 15th. Both Lumias are still yet to be confirmed. Each and every device is unlocked, and 4G is currently absent from the specification sheets - though we're unsure if it will be added at a later point on selected hardware. We've reached out to Clove for more details.

So what colours of the rainbow will be available? check our compiled list below. Note that colours listed on the product pages are subject to change until release, but we'd imagine Clove would be able to stock most (if not) all the variants they've listed so far.

Should you be looking at making a purchase, the Samsung ATIV S and two HTC Windows Phones are available for pre-order. No word on the Lumias yet. Other UK retailers, including Phones4u and Carphone Warehouse, are expected to be present at the Windows Phone launch with a number of handsets to promote. There's choice at least.

Source: Clove UK (HTC 8X, HTC 8S, Lumia 920, Lumia 820, Samsing ATIV S); thanks, Nouman, for the 8X tip!

I wish the ativ s would come in white i really like the white galaxy s3

simplescheme says:

Is there any info out there if the ativ s will support LTE?

meathead88 says:

If I, in the US on AT&T, bought a gray lumia from these guys, would my AT&t sim and network operate correctly?

Jeff Kibuule says:

No, LTE bands are not the same.

anseio says:

Yes, it will work on GSM, as well as HSPA, but not on LTE, due to the wrong bandwidths.

Fludlyt says:

I really hope EE gets the grey Lumia 920 at launch.

Muessig says:

It's nice to see somewhere I could get the Ativ/8X unlocked and all that but I really need to see what their prices are on the Lumias before I made a choice. Also... why have I never heard of these guys before!?

Racxie says:

Really happy to finally see a UK retailer sporting an unlocked Lumia 920, but on the other hand really disappointed that there's no cyan :(

Hiiiiiiiii says:

And no prices

norville2 says:

Phones 4 U always have unlocked phones, that is where i bought my Nokia 900. Clove have been around for ages, they have being mentioned here plenty of times.

ctafield says:

I asked Phones4U about Sim Free iPhone 5's at the launch. They sold them... They wanted £300 more than the RRP too. Wouldn't trust Phones4U as far as I could throw them.
Also, at the weekend, they were taking down their Windows Phone section in my local store, and replacing it with a Galaxy Note one.

infinidim says:

ctafield - I agree with you about Phones4U.

pankaj981 says:

Umm..the color selection section of the article looks a bit weird on the app..

Edit: names of the phones are missing before the color, except for the 8X

tribexx says:

So...
Every country in the world has announced their windows phone lineup except Verizon (officially).

Not every country. Here in Brazil no one knows when Windows phone 8 will be released!!!

Lenin17301 says:

Ditto for Venezuela, I'm jonesin for a Lumia 920 but who knows how will I get it :(

dsba says:

Neither in Argentina, we are just getting the 900 & 710...

MattLFC says:

Is anyone else gobsmacked that Samsung are sticking by the ATIV brand? I mean come on, Galaxy sounds good and rolls off the tongue nicely, ATIV... Is it Ativ or A.T.I.V lol, its shit and its as though Samsung want to remain unpopular. Its about as Geeky a name ad they could have chosen, for an OS that still gas misconceptions about it too being geeky rather than mass market. I have a [Lumia][Galaxy][iPhone][Blackberry][Pre][8X][ATIV]... See what I mean??

eastbayrae says:

Galaxy is associated with Android and not WP.
