Election Day apps for your Windows Phone

VoterHub for Windows Phone

Tomorrow is Election Day here in the States where millions of voters will go to the polls to not only decide the outcome of local political races but also decide the outcome of our Presidential race. There are a handful of Windows Phone apps to help you keep track of Election results and help you find your way to the poll.

We've put together a small roundup of these apps that you may find useful in keeping track of how your favorite candidate is doing from your Windows Phone.

Windows Phone News Apps

News Apps: There are several news apps available for your Windows Phone that will provide Election Day coverage. You have CNN, Fox News, USA Today, and Time Mobile all come to mind. These are all free apps over at the Windows Phone Store.

VoterHub

VoterHub: VoterHub is a collaboration between AT&T, Microsoft, and Politics 360. VoterHub is a fairly comprehensive collection of resources for your Election needs. From where to register to vote, where to vote, sample ballots, information about military voting, bios on the candidates, and Election news.

VoterHub taps into a wide range of resources that include Rock The Vote, various Secretaries of State offices, and the Voting Information Project. The amount of information available for each location varies slightly but what is available could prove useful.

VoterHub is a free app for your Windows Phone and you can find it here at the Windows Phone Store.

Election Results

Election Results: If you live in Washington State and need to keep track of State and Federal Elections, check out Election Results. It's a nice looking app that taps into the Secretary of State's website to deliver Election Day results for Washington State.

Election Results is a free app for your Windows Phone and you can find it here at the Windows Phone Store. Every State should have such an app.

These apps are but a few that came to mind to deliver Election Day information to your Windows Phone. If we missed one, feel free to add it to the list in the comments below.

mmoses1978 says:

Yea right lol, Obama is far from perfect but I am not trusting 2 guys that can't answer a question, or have issues with women rights.

DaveGx says:

Please.  Obama cant even give the truth about Bengazi. And despite the Dems attempt to get attention off of the economy, there is no stupid war on women. That is nothing but a distraction from Obama's failures. Romney and Ryan are not going to take away anyones rights, certainly not womens.
Women unemployment is also much, much higher under Obama.

eharris560 says:

That explains everything. They don't believe a woman's right to choose is a Right

DaveGx says:

Sigh, A President can not take away any rights from women. Period. He has no plans to try and do anything in regards to that. As I said, the stupid War On Women crap is a silly tactic to deflect from real issues.  Obama is a petty little man who campaigns on small things. Big bird, binders, etc.

Because the Christian Republicans don't say anything about abortion. Ever.
Legitimate Rape.

albertico says:

Dave, many women and men would say "crap" that affects about half of the population is a "real issue." Second, who was the first to bring up "Big Bird" and "binders?" If you honestly believe that a president does not have the capacity to impact the rights of women, you've no idea about how our three branches of government work.

PoohGQ says:

You must not follow what's been going on in Congress if you claim that there's no war on women! Why do you folks concentrate on Benghazi when between 2001-2008 43 Americans were killed in US Consulates around the globe! It was nothing but a news splinter. Have you seen how big this world is?!! An American president is a leader for the world and I would never want to have a president that is swayed by the wind as Romney is. He has zero credibility among Republicans on international affairs, let alone credibility on National issues. "Hello Sandy! Thank you, Sandy!" Oh yeah! What was his stance on FEMA back in June? ..And now??

DaveGx says:

Because there were clear warnings about Benghazi, they were denied extra security more than once, and this Administration has been lying about it ever since it happened. Oh, and its only the first Ambassadar to be murdered since Carter.

PoohGQ says:

But why do you only hang onto a situation which was initially created by the Republican Congress? They refused to increase the security budget for Consulates back in March. The so-called requests for additional security came in the day of the attacks as far as facts indicate. Now, move on to issues that involve your current situation & see what your next President will do to alleviate the issues nationally and security concerns closer to home. I know I want health insurance, student loans, fair pay for women, continued job growth, DADT, end to expensive wars & transparent government.

Chi28n2k says:

Uh, I doubt it...;)

Mitt "flip flop" Romney eh? As a Canadian, I can safely call anyone who votes for Romney and "Ayn Rand" Ryan a moron. The Republican policy starts with helping their wallets get fatter first, and lying at all costs to do so second.

DaveGx says:

You being a Canadian, thank God you cant vote in our elections.

Cause Canada has a massive debt, health care issues, and poor education system. We obviously know nothing about democracy or capitalism or following our own constitution (separation of church and state problems lol). Get a clue.

DaveGx says:

You want Obama, take him. Ive just seen four years of him, and I think America has had enough. I repeat, Im glad you cant vote here, and I would never want to be Canada, Id stick with the greatest country on earth, thanks.

In a 2010 OECD study of 15 year old students, the US ranked 14th in reading, 25th at math, and 17th in science. 407 thousand students were in this study. Canada was 3rd for reading, 5th for math, and 5th for science.

You, like most Republicans, fail to see that the standards for which you think make your country the greatest (Murika number 1!!!!) are the same standards in others. I could get more stats to prove you wrong.

So, tell me how 'murika is number one again?

DaveGx says:

And who runs our educational system? Government. Who is for big government and thinks hiring a bunch of more teachers will fix the economy? People like Obama.
We have plenty of things that need fixed and changed in this country, but we are still the greatest country on earth, at least for now.

So Romney has given you a clear answer as to how he is going to fix the things he claims he can fix?? He hasn't. In fact, he flakes on the details every time.

Lets not forget that he is a demonstrable liar.

Dont forget the republic policy on rape and abortions. Legitimate rape Todd Akin.

He believes god lives in the kobol system and he was an adult when the Mormon church was officially a racist organization. The fact that he brings up his faith as part of his campaign (which is in conflict with your constitution's establishment clause) allows us to criticize it. Otherwise I wouldn't bring it up.

He was running ads in Spanish that claimed he was gonna save the auto industry when he was openly against the bailout. Let Detroit go bankrupt, was his quote.

The Republicans issued flyers in areas that had a predominantly Latino population which had the wrong voting date on them. The same flyers elsewhere had the correct date. Yet Romney and his repubs claim the dems are involved in voter fraud. Lol

Even if Obama was terrible (which he's not) he's still a hell of a lot better than that lying piece of shit.

And I have plenty of issues with Obama. Guantanmo and his drone strikes for instance.

lippidp says:

It's a good thing we have other candidates to vote for, isn't it?

Oh I forgot to mention. Our school ate government run as well. So why do your students not perform as well. I postulate that your politicians spend too much time debating whether they should teach evolution in schools or not. Move on to real problems like the fact that tuition costs tens of thousands there.

You're an idiot if you don't understand how hiring more teachers would help improve the economy, and the country in general. More teachers being hired means less qualified people with degrees will be jobless, these people in turn are now employed and able to spend their paychecks on other goods, injecting their money back into the US economy. Not to mention our overcrowded and terrible (in comparison to other first world countries) schools will have a little bit of the burden they're experiencing now lifted off of them. I respect a Republican who can back up their beliefs with logic and facts, but you're the typical Republican idiot who just champions the superiority of American while spouting off illogical straw man arguments that have no weight whatsoever. That or a troll, and i'm hoping for the latter because (insert your deity of choose here) help America if we have people like you helping to decide our future.

lippidp says:

Don't forget that someone has to pay those teachers salaries. I'm not saying hiring more teachers is a bad idea, I'm just saying there's more to it then you lay on.

schlubadub says:

"We are still the greatest country on earth"? I'm not trying to be anti-US, but I find it deeply amusing that Americans say this all the time without any basis in fact or reality. ImmortalWarrior asked you to back up that claim but you can't. Your economy is in the toilet while others are booming, and the US is one of the very few countries with such poor healthcare & welfare for it's people. There is a saying along the lines of "The measure of a society is how it treats its weakest members". The US do some great things but you're not the greatest, no matter how many countries you illegally invade :P

+100

There is a reason the USD and CAD are at parity.

alex6272 says:

Hey, don't send him here! Canada is a great place, don't let this guy speak for all of us.

uopjo6 says:

Because 4 years can change everything. LMAO.

Impatient US citizens are hurting themselves. Always just whining. Give the man some time. 4 years is not enough.

Romney on the other hand. If he wins, US is done.

NH3MAN says:

I don't want to step in any crap here and there is plenty of it coming out of your mouth but its a fact that Canada is actually doing much better now that the Conservatives have been in power. Where were they at 10 years ago? Europe could sure use some of that too! Its amazing to me that the Kool-Aid is even stronger across the border. Its ridiculous to compare Canada and the US. The US enables Canada to prosper off of us and because of us whether economically or because of our protection. Its really none of your business and an affront that your rude enough to chastise and browbeat a citizen about his voting preferences but then again only an idiot would spout the Liberal talking points without showing any understanding of other contradictory views. Typical militant lib who would force his views on someone as quick as he would kill an unwanted baby!

"Canada is actually doing much better now that the Conservatives have been in power"

Our conservatives aren't the same as yours. Stephen Harper's party doesn't question teaching evolution in schools and he is a far cry better than the liberal party candidates he was up against. Michael Ignatief?! Spare me, that is more "republican" than Harper. And don't think we agree with Harper completely anyways. He makes plenty of poor decisions. Jack Layton would have been a far better choice but NDP has routinely screwed up in the eastern provinces and that ruined his chances.

"Europe could sure use some of that too!"

Because countries like Sweden, Norway, Britain, Scotland, Denmark and Finland are such terrible places. They have their shit together over there. Hell, France is due to have the first operating fusion plant in 2016. Holland has the worlds largest offshore wind farm. Those countries know how to direct their money.

"Its ridiculous to compare Canada and the US. The US enables Canada to prosper off of us and because of us whether economically or because of our protection."

Canada and the US share common origins and, as such, have very similar culture. That statement is stupid. Second, I don't ever recall a time when Canada needed protection? If I recall correctly Canada put their asses on the line to save the european countries in WWI and WWII at the start of the wars, not when it was politically forced into it or when someone attacked it. Yeah, the US joined and helped win the wars (especially WW2, the DDay push needed the 240k troops the US provided) and it was in the US's best interest after Japan became such a threat. We'd both be speaking German if ALL of the allies didn't come together.

"Its really none of your business and an affront that your rude enough to chastise and browbeat a citizen about his voting preferences..."

It's everyone's business. If you openly support someone, expect to have your beliefs scrutinized. No belief is above scrutiny. Even religion. The idea that religious beliefs or political beliefs and their respective opinions are above scrutiny is absurd.

"but then again only an idiot would spout the Liberal talking points without showing any understanding of other contradictory views. Typical militant lib who would force his views on someone as quick as he would kill an unwanted baby!"

Only christians and other religious groups have issues with abortion. Like most republicans, you ignore the true talking point of the matter, when should the fetus be considered a person? Is it when the heart starts beating or when brainwaves can be detected? Instead of braying like a jack ass, you could help solve the problem. I don't know a single liberal who thinks late term abortions should be allowed, but life of the mother and rape victims should count for something. But you fools still argue over same sex marriage (the sanctity of my marriage will be affected if you let "the gays" marry!!!! -idiots) and whether rape is forcible or legitimate instead of tackling real issues like the fact that 44% of your country is overweight or obese.

"Typical militant lib who would force his views on..."

Force? Liberals force their views? And christian republicans don't??? How about forcing the opinion that life begins at erection-I mean conception. How about the texas state republicans (and other southern states) trying to force their religious views into the science classroom? How about that in several states atheists are barred from holding public office against your constitution? Who forces views on who? The liberals want choice and freedom, republicans use absurd strawmans like this bullshit to try and make it look like they aren't the ones doing just that.

touchpadjeff says:

Let's be real. We are allies we benefit from one another. I really believe that all people are equal. But, I do not believe all ideas are equal. Traditional American values are great. Remember it was America's (majority Christian) founding fathers that understood for anyone to be free we must all be free. That is why we declared independence and then have fought for freedom for others rather than conquest. Are we perfect? No. However our aspirations are good.
Many of the nations you mention are free, but they are unwilling to defend their freedom or advance the cause of freedom. They allow American's to spill their blood in their place. It is a high cost as we lose some of our finest citizens for the cause of freedom.
To my Canadian neighbors who have fought along side by Americans on for the cause I say you are no less great. I ask you respect our freedom to dislike our current administration's vision. We are only free if we are free to desent.

schlubadub says:

"They allow American's to spill their blood in their place"? I hope you're not referring to the US-led Iraq & Afghanistan invasions. It was illegal & immoral and yet they still demanded the support of their Western allies, which was given. Why should any other country care that the US is subjugating foreign populations to further their own interests? What have they done except unite the muslim world & bring forth another generation of bitter extremists?

gdinger says:

Please stay in Canada!

Oh yeah right, Obama is going to win. And why the héll is this a political discussion? Its supposed to be about the app

Ajajajaja your guy lost, told you Obama would win.

Yep lol. But the repubs were so sure!!

man1up says:

#weave should be on this list.

lippidp says:

Just say no to Obamney. Vote for your favorite third party candidate and feel good about yourself!

Word! They're both evil pricks!

procen says:

That is true you get fuck either one of them.

schlubadub says:

Obama can't possibly be evil... He got the Nobel Peace Prize for not being George Bush :P

jessecabrera says:

Gary Johnson WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! legalize it

But that's like throwing away a perfectly good vote!

dalydose says:

Gawd I hate that "wasted vote" mentality. Vote your conscious. If you identify w/ any of tge third parties, vote for them. The only way to start their momentum is to vote for them. Some would say that voting on the Partisan Wars is voting for the duopoly that controls our way of life. Where's the wasted vote then?

lippidp says:

Exactly. Voting for someone you know is a rat bastard is wasting your vote.

DaveGx says:

Lets go Romney!  We cant take another 4 years of a celebrity-wannabe President.

NIST says:

I've never met a businessman who had the customers interest at heart.

NH3MAN says:

If you don't have the customers interest at heart then you won't have a customer. Just ask any app builder... Jeez, the bs that gets spouted.

touchpadjeff says:

I have. I know a guy who owns a grociery store. He donates food through our church to needy families. It not seconds or out of date. He never askes for contribution statement to write it off on his taxes. He is only one example.

DaveGx says:

I cant rely on an app for coverage. If you have the ability, your best bet is the internet or tv, with the exception of NBC/MSNBC.  Unless of course, Obama does lose, then we can watch a meltdown even worse than we saw after the first debate. For Tingle's sake, they better have paramedics on standby.

sepatown says:

I suggest you check out Nate Silver's blog, that way you don't have a massive heart attack when it's all over.

DaveGx says:

Nate Silver? LOL   I could say check out Michael Barone.  Silver is a NYT's hack. Romney is up big with Independents and if you think Democrat turnout is going to be as high as it was in 2008 and GOP turn out will be down, your crazy. Im not predicting anything, but to call landslide for Obama is ignorant.

Silver doesn't predict a landside, he just has the odds very high that Obama wins the electoral college. Calling him a "hack" is not an argument, it's a crutch for someone who can't argue the facts.

DaveGx says:

Odds that keep changing. He relies on strictly poll numbers not taking into account how accurate they are. He doenst take into account samples or Independents. He is a hack, as most as at the NYT's.

sepatown says:

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Your previous post just exposed your ignorance.

DaveGx says:

Fine. Stick with Silver then. Heck, you dont even have to worry about voting since Obama has it in the bag

sepatown says:

Don't worry I already voted.

NH3MAN says:

The proof will be in the pudding when the vote gets totaled. Its gonna be a R&R Landslide and you can come back and thank me when you come delete your post. LOL

lippidp says:

My dream is that they BOTH lose and the mainstream media doesn't know what to do with themselves and begin to panic.

PoohGQ says:

Lose to who?? But that would be hilarious...

lippidp says:

You do know there are more than just the two candidates you see on TV, right?

Dude shut it will ya damn

Vheissu says:

But more importantly HALO 4 comes out tommorow

DaveGx says:

Yeah, some already have it. Im jealous of course.

mmoses1978 says:

I tried Halo once but to me it was to cartoonish for me . I might give It a try again.

DaveGx says:

Halo 4 looks pretty damn good. Appears to me they even improved how nice it looks graphic wise. Check out some of the youtube videos of the campaign mode. Though,  be careful, ending and spoilers are already  out there.

schlubadub says:

Yep, I'm picking it up from the shop in 50 minutes when it opens @ 9 AM!

DaveGx says:

I really cant wait until its over. Im sick of politics, especially during an election season.

mmoses1978 says:

Amen, they are all liars to me.

Vheissu says:

Don't feel bad they aren't just lying to you they lie to everyone

mikroland says:

Romney for the win! Landslide too!!! People are tired of the massive debt, blaming Bush for everything, no leadership and all the lies... F U Obamacrats!!!!

BTW, wish I could watch the results come in on my 920!!!

mmoses1978 says:

Bottom line is it does not matter who wins , the super wealthy controls the country. The president is just a feature head.

cdbstl76 says:

I actually agree

WinFan1 says:

hey daniel!!! does the htc 8x have a notification light?

DaveGx says:

If you are a Dem/Liberal, look at it this way. If Romney wins, then most of the media can finally get back to doing their jobs again. Theyve seemingly been absent for the last four years, largely sparing Obama from too much negativity. Romney wins, and they will finally hold the President accountable again.

Most of the media in the US is conservative. This makes no sense.

cwinger says:

That is the funniest thing ever. The American media is about as liberal as it gets.

TwineFLU says:

Are you smoking dope?! That comment shows your ignorance and slanted perspective about who controls the media is the US.

Gambit11B says:

Leave it to the Intelligent Canadian to make another 'intelligent' statement about the U.S., eh???
There are 3 major news outlets in the US:
- CNN (Liberal)
- MSNBC (Extremely Liberal)
- FOX News (Conservative)
So unless FOX represents "most of the media in the US", your statement is null and void.  Next time, make a statement regarding Canadian media, which is something you hopefully know more about, eh?

I find CNN to be more towards the right. Maybe it depends on who I'm watching on CNN at the time but I feel their divide is more to the right.

On a side note, I like how no e of you jumped on me about those facts and stats I mentioned yet I classify one news station differently and you're all over it. Nothing to say about America being number one??

Kreblon says:

More like:

CNN- Conservative
MSNBC- Slightly liberal
Fox News- Batshit insane

Kreblon says:

CNN is so desperate to appear neutral and unbiased that they're the worst perpetrators of the false equivalency narrative to the point that their ability to report the news in a true and accurate manner is handicapped.

By intentionally positioning themselves in "the middle", even as the extreme right-wing in this country goes further and further to the right, CNN is willfully being dragged along with them. They helped legitimize the Tea Party's far-right position in Crazyville, and then by pursuing the new middle, they wound up right of center.

TwineFLU says:

Ditto to that!

walter1832 says:

I vote for Pedro!

mmoses1978 says:

He has my vote lol, " Sweeeeet" LOL

This made me LOL so hard.

joshcsmith13 says:

wow....
I guess we're getting down to the wire.  Even dragged Daniel into it.

joshcsmith13 says:

I do appreciate the app run down though!

dalydose says:

I thought I could escape the political drivel on a tech site. Please just stop. No one cares who you are voting for. Everyone else has their own ego and thinks they're right too. Please stop tge hyperbole. There is no "war" on anything and our country will not succumb to doomsday regardless of which figurehead is elected.

Can we please just go back to arguing 8X vs 920 and AT&T vs Verizon? Take your bumper sticker level of politics back to Facebook.

BTW - has anyone even commented on the point of the column?

Couldn't agree more its pathetic

coldside says:

Wow I feel ashamed that WPCentral has such a Republican following. I hope not all Windows Phone users are like that. Funny thing is that Microsoft is primarily Democrat.

dalydose says:

I wish it didn't matter and that we could focus on the tech. I also don't choose my friends based on their politics.

willied says:

+1

Worrying about someone on this site being more liberal or conservative is just pathetic.

Because these type of comments shouldnt even be here on a tech site. You pathetic Republicans will hate and bash Obama at every chance y'all get.

touchpadjeff says:

I do not hate nor have I disrespected the president. I don't agree with his vision for America so I will vote accordingly. In a democratic-republic the government reflects its people, if the government is corrupt, virtuous, good, or evil it because the people are ok with it being so.

And it's the Republicans on here that also whine about everything and think they're entitled.

gdinger says:

Entitled... That's funny. That's half the problem with where this country is. Too many people want the free hand outs and government programs to take care of them. I put myself through college and postgraduate school, wo is going to help me pay off my loans. Now I make "too much" money and can't even write off the interest o. My student loans. So I'm penalized for getting educated and getting a decent job.

touchpadjeff says:

Ditto. Add new government regulations that raise my costs by 200% this year and I'm unable to buy new cell phone for a while. My practice is bearly making money. My Arrive is still kicking after nearly two years so I will have to use it until I can buy a Samsung Ativ S.

touchpadjeff says:

Why so? Can't a republican enjoy a well design os. Microsoft and the developers are building a great ecosystem.

NH3MAN says:

It is a trip that things get so hateful about politics on a tech site but its so typical like above that the name calling and hate starts spewing from militant Libs that are anti-God and intolerant of people with differing views. Libs always pepper everything with their little snide remarks about conservative "morons" and how stupid people are that think a certain way. If you say anything back at them then here comes a barrage about how ignorant and stupid you are. Nobody should degrade other people for their religious or political views whether Lib, Conservative, Christian, Muslim, Agnostic or Atheist and when they have no right to whine about it.

Hey I'm liberal and I'm not anti-God, keep your stereotypical views to yourself

Ah, you're one of those guys who equates atheists with anti-theists. Tell me, what place does god have in government. None. Your constitution says so. Atheists only expect you to adhere to the constitution.

touchpadjeff says:

Actually the first amendment say the government has no place in my church. Freedom to believe or not to believe. As a veteren I have fought for this freedom along men and women of several faith groups. So have your countrymen. Stop your hate and "Let freedom ring"

NH3MAN says:

That's exactly right! The separation of Church and State is a myth in the way that it is used to eliminate Christian values from public expression and promotion, to the detriment of American society. Even a fair minded secularist should be able to accept the value to society of Judeo-Christian values and its influence on the laws and Govt.. The Constitution only forbids the Govt. to form a Church or allow State sponsored Churches. It has been used by secular enemies of Christianity as a weapon to bar and ban religious expression and people with religious views from participating in Government. Its so arrogant that a citizen of another country or the UN for that matter thinks their opinion of OUR Constitution matters or that they can tell us what our Constitution means. Let them be a Patriot to THEIR country and whatever form of Govt. their Constitution dictates. Our Constitution and the Free enterprise Republic and the freedoms it allows is the reason that our quality of life is the highest ( in straight monetary terms), although it has been shrinking in the last 4 years. The average house we live in is three times that of a typical European. Our quality of Healthcare, while plagued with problems, and expensive, is the best and that is why Canadians cross the border for serious health issues that need prompt attention. The poor in America are better off than anywhere else in the World and are not denied Healthcare. The below poverty household typically own a car or two, have cable TV, are obese, and enjoy AC, free housing, food and phones. If you want a voice here then apply for citizenship and I hope in the process you get a better understanding of what being an American and having our liberties means. And BTW, the poor of America have increased and suffered far worse in these past four years than previously. That's a fact!

Utter bullshit, every word. "That's exactly right! The separation of Church and State is a myth in the way that it is used to eliminate Christian values from public expression and promotion, to the detriment of American society." Where to start with this one? The separation of church and state was a term first used by Thomas Jefferson in a letter describing the establishment clause. He explains that the intention is that no government agency or agent shall promote one religion over another. The addition of "In God We Trust" to the pledge and as the national motto over "E pluribus unum" was in 1956 and is a direct contradiction of the establishment clause, making it illegal by your own constitution. They overwrote the previous national motto which was established in 1782. How arrogant of them to do so. It is not what the founding fathers wanted. The core purpose of the establishment clause is to prevent government from making it mandatory or illegal to be one religion or another, OR none at all. If you think that America was founded as a christian nation I refer you to the Treaty of Tripoli 1796 clearly states: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion". If you think "Christian" values are to be lauded for their greatness over others, specifically secular values, I refer you to Leviticus and Deuteronomy. "The Constitution only forbids the Govt. to form a Church or allow State sponsored Churches." Incorrect. It forbids the government to establish any law or respect of one church over another. For instance, It makes it illegal to teach religious values and beliefs "AS FACT" in publicly funded schools. "It has been used by secular enemies of Christianity as a weapon to bar and ban religious expression and people with religious views from participating in Government." No, it's used by secular people to justly prevent religious opinions from affecting government policy. visa vi abortion. Forcing christian beliefs on people ("Life begins at conception" and abstinence only education) is no different than what happens in muslim countries. "Our Constitution and the Free enterprise Republic and the freedoms it allows is the reason that our quality of life is the highest ( in straight monetary terms), although it has been shrinking in the last 4 years." Factually incorrect. The OECD rates Australia, Canada, Sweden, New Zeland, Norway and Denmark higher than the US for quality of life based on a series of quantitative values. "Our quality of Healthcare, while plagued with problems, and expensive, is the best and that is why Canadians cross the border for serious health issues that need prompt attention." Wrong. I have never heard of, or seen, a single person in Canada who didn't get immediate care for major illnesses. The only exception is donor waiting lists. I know over 15 people personally who had had cancer, had immediate treatment, survived, and didn't pay an extra dime. But social healthcare doesn't work does it? "The poor in America are better off than anywhere else in the World and are not denied Healthcare." Really? I thought that, prior to the Affordable Health Care Act 2010, that unless you had medical insurance or paid up front that you got denied? Which of course, since you're a republican, you disagree with "Obamacare". And the poor in America are better off? Maybe compared to third world countries, but certainly not to most first world countries like the UK or Canada. " The below poverty household typically own a car or two, have cable TV, are obese, and enjoy AC, free housing, food and phones. If you want a voice here then apply for citizenship and I hope in the process you get a better understanding of what being an American and having our liberties means. And BTW, the poor of America have increased and suffered far worse in these past four years than previously. That's a fact!" In 2008 (after Bush) the number of below poverty line individuals in the US was 13.2% (39.8 million). Are you telling me that you want Romney to take away the services that many of these people depend on to survive? You want Romney to increase this number by removing food stamps and cheap healthcare? If that's the country you want to live in, be my guest, but the rest of the world is moving on past that era. I'll thank you to know wtf you are talking about before opening your mouth.

Apologies about the wall of text.  I tried editing a few spelling errors and it removed my formatting :(

Kreblon says:

Well, these comments quickly devolved into a cesspool of idiocy. No surprise there.

But seriously, fuck Romney. You'd have to be a sadist, a masochist, or an idiot to want the GOP back in charge.

Roseanneforpresident2012.org ! We need to stand up to the 2 party system! Why in a democracy are we forced to vote for only 2 candidates that are such extreme opposites personally. Abolish electoral college, and put all candidates on all state ballots and let the populace decide! As long as we allow politicians to chose based on special interests we will continue to fall. Abolish lobbyists while we are at it! BTW, voting for either one of those 2 because you think its a wasted vote otherwise isn't very democratic. Off my soapbox! So any app that gives live tile updates as they come in? That's what I had hoped to see in comments, wow!
