Nokia updates Smart Shoot Lens app and refines its UI

For those with Windows Phone 8 Lumias, you may be familiar with Nokia’s Smart Shoot app/Lens for improving your photo skills.

The app works by rapidly shooting a few photos and then letting you select which one looks best. In addition, you can “erase” unwanted objects or moving people in the background and even choose the best face for your subject...

The app was just updated tonight to version 2.1.5.5 and it has been tweaked a little bit. For instance, we don’t get the weird intro screen that was seemingly present with every launch. In addition, the edit mode now features a bottom over-lay menu that makes editing perhaps a little more intuitive and easier. We also imagine Nokia may have improved the actual algorithms of the app but we’re not privy to that info.

Nokia has been on an update kick lately having recently updated Feedback to Nokia, Network+ and Extras + Info for their new Windows Phone 8 Lumias.

You can pick up Nokia Smart Shoot for your Lumia Windows Phone here in the Nokia Collection. Thanks, Atif A., for the tip

Nokia updates Smart Shoot Lens app and refines its UI

Got my Lumia 920 just a day ago and bam! Nokia's on a update spree! I don't regret my decision.

The continued support by Nokia is what pushed me into buying a Nokia windows phone this time too.

Im in the UK and ive been receiving all the Nokia updates, not sure if you have to sign into your Microsoft account to be able??

I own a 920 as well, but some of you folks are some pure suck ups. lol. "That's why I chose Nokia!" Get outta here!! HAHAHAHA!

Well, I'm not sure I'd call people that use such criteria for chosing a phone or phone manufacturer "suck ups". I mean, who are they sucking up to? I think I understand how they feel. I owned a Samsung Focus prior to my 920 and, although it was a good launch phone for WP7, OEM support for it was horrible. One of the reasons I purchased the 920 was Nokia's support of their apps and their all-in approach to WP in general.

Ok, I wanted to use a different term, but I wanted to keep it PG13. Lol. I'm all for good customer service. But I swear some people might be so fanboyish that they have NOKIA tattooed on their privates. And will probably admit to it too. As a fledgling company, I expect Nokia to put everything they have into their products. And I hope they succeed in gaining prominence once again.

Just back from the tattoo shop!  NOK stock symbol on my right bicep and NOKIA on my private parts.  Looks great in cyan!

I felel Pity Shame on You #Nokia, Such a wonderfull application Likr this is not available for Nokia Lumia 625. If this can install on Lumia 625 will be a god thing
