Just as the Nokia Cardboard Challenge comes to a complete closure the company has kicked off another competition for consumers to participate in. Also celebrating the festive period, the Nokia Paper Challenge is a perfect opportunity to use up the leftover wrapping paper (or newspaper, magazine, flyer, pamphlet, etc. if you don't celebrate with presents in December) to create Nokia products and win prizes.
With three Lumia 820s to give away, Nokia is offering the chance to start 2013 with a brand new Windows Phone 8 smartphone. So what products can be crafted? How about the creation of a 3310, Lumia 920 or even the Lumia 820 that's being given away? Using paper to create the body of the device, tape to hold it together, gift tag for the display and ribbon for a lanyard is an ideal process that can be used as an example.
Entries will be judged on being creative, unique and attractive. Incredible creativity was displayed in the Cardboard Challenge, which Nokia hopes to replicate with its latest competition. So how does one enter? Simply publish your work in the comments on the Nokia Conversations blog, or on Twitter using the #NokiaPaperChallenge hashtag.
The Lumia 820 sports an 8MP rear camera (with VGA front-facing camera), 4.3" AMOLED display, dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB internal storage with expandable microSD slot, 1650 mAh battery, wireless charging, NFC, and runs the latest version of Windows Phone. It's a solid smartphone. You can read our in-depth review for more information.
Be sure to read up on the terms and conditions before entering your work. All entries have to be submitted by January 7th and you must be 16 years-old or above to enter the contest. We'll be sure to revisit the Paper Challenge once the submission period is over and entries are judged.
