Heading back to school? Grab Grapher Calculator for Windows Phone free for a limited time.

Although none of us here at Windows Phone Central are in school anymore, we do still suffer flashback nightmares of Calculus I, II and beyond. And yet we have fond memories of our TI -81 graphing calculator, which is why we have an affinity for Grapher.

Grapher Calculator is not only one of the top paid apps for Windows Phone, it’s also well worth the price of a $1.49. It has all the advance functions you want, customizations options and it was even recently updated to support Windows Phone 8’s higher resolutions for super sharp graphics.

The app has a free ‘lite’ version but you’ll want to go and download the full one right now as it is temporarily free for the taking. The developer has done in this past and it usually lasts 6 days or so, meaning time is of the essence. Once you download the app for free, that license is permanently at that price even if you uninstall it or switch phones.

We’re hoping a few of college bound (or super geeky high school students) managed to get a Windows Phone over Christmas, if so, jump on this deal now and be set for the coming semester.

Pick up Grapher Calculator for Windows Phone 7.x and Windows Phone 8 here in the Store. Thanks, JimmyR., for the tip!

This is one of those apps that I dont need now but, as it's free, I will grab it because you never know when you will need it....and not have to pay $1.49 later for it...

Corepc says:

Exactly grabbed has well

jmshub says:

Edit: the wpcentral app doesn't allow you to make a comment "(plus sign) 1"

Jnbs says:

Yeah.. I has the trial for a while.

bokchoy1 says:

Thanks! This is much appreciated and easier than lugging my TI-83 around.

walter1832 says:

This adds up to a great deal.

Aldoron says:

I see what you did there ;)

Umm, 80085...? Not a random number I guess. Ha ha... :D

8=B, 0=O, 5=S

Quite a subliminal message... ;)

kerryprsp says:

This is why I love WPCentral. You guys always report and recommend the best stuff.

Calculator squared (it has the little 2 in the title but alas i cannot write that lol) is far superior than this imo best calculator i have ever used it multiple calculators in one app ive download multiple calculator apps including this one for my chemistry course and nothing compares to it of course there are a few things from this app id like to see included, i also think its far prettier than this one lol

Del1701 says:

Nice calculator, especially as it's free ;)

camilo897 says:

Thanks wpcentral! My TI graphing calculator broke two weeks ago. This couldn't have been more perfect timing.

Cellus13 says:

Calc 1 was pretty cool for me. Derivatives annoyed the hell out of me though.

1jaxstate1 says:

If it wasn't for WPC, I would never find any cool apps. Great job! Tks!

lonbraj says:

Okay. Am I crazy or this app can't do float operations?
1.5 * 3 = 45 ???
1.5 + 1.5 = 30 ???
12.8 - 0.5 = 123 ???

alphaxi3 says:

Your crazy, it works for me.
1.5 * 3 = 4.5
1.5 + 1.5 = 3.0
12.8 - 0.5 = 12.3

lonbraj says:

It doesn't work in Brazilian Portuguese. Changed to English and worked as you said. What a ridiculous flaw, a math app that works wrongly based on your language.

retyler says:

It has to do with the decimal symbol. The United States uses a period to indicate a decimal while some countries chose a comma and others chose a space.

alphaxi3 says:

Shouldn't matter.  It should still operate properly.  It should be programmed to handle the input accordingly.  Whether I put in a comma, space or period it should recognize what I am doing and provide the correct output.  Plus there is no way to input a comma or space so it should just work.

alphaxi3 says:

Man your right, that's crazy.  Funny as hell though.

Ooo. Awesome. I'm in geometry now (9th grade), but I'll need a graphing calculator in pre-calculus and calculus. Next year is algebra II. -_-

aldovelco says:

It'd be nice if it let me install it. Everytime I go to the Marketplace and try to download the app I get an error saying I couldn't log in @_@

lonbraj says:

I knew I wasn't crazy. This app doesn't work properly in Brazilian Portguese. Float operations are treated as there was no period. Changed to US English and it worked as indeed. This is a serious development flaw, math is the same everywhere, Daniel Rubino should report this. Sent an email to the developers.

procen says:

This just saved me  a lot of money, Thanks!

Lych says:

Nice to have, but doesn't save me from having to buy a calculator, since we're forbidden from using smartphones on exams.

alphaxi3 says:

Man your right, that's crazy.  Funny as hell though.

Laura Knotek says:

Does it support RPN?

Duffau says:

Gone! =( I missed it
