Fujitsu Arrows 10.1 Tab

Hands on with Fujitsu’s waterproofed Windows 8 Arrows Tablet

One of the more interesting Windows 8 tablets we’ve see here at Mobile World Congress is Fujitsu’s Arrow Tab. Featuring a solid 10.1” IPS “Super Clear Panel” display, microUSB, SD card expansion, 2GB of RAM and 64GB SSD. It even sports “the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet” title.

But in addition to all of that and being super light (540 grams) the 1.8GHz Atom powered device is waterproof too. Sure, you can’t take it SCUBA diving but drop in the bathtub or knock it in the pool and you should be good to go (it’s actually good to about 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, according to Fujitsu).

The Arrows comes in two flavors QH55/J with Wi-Fi and Q582/G with LTE and this Arrow is aimed at Japan.  No word on price just yet.

Awesome. Too bad only in Japan but nice anyway.

jsnod25 says:

If it's the thinnest, how thin is it?

Tomasz S. says:

If I hear correctly, the geek in the video says 9,9 mm. Only 0,5mm thicker than Surface RT.
It's actually lighter that Surface RT, and runs real Windows 8.
Would be even more awesome if it came in colours.

tgr42 says:

Well it ain't the thinnest then.  ASUS VivoTab (Atom-based) is only 8.7mm and Best Buy has em in stock for $500!  (for the VivoTab Smart version)

Windows 8 or windows 8 RT???

elvisff says:

Atom processors are all win8, not rt.

Tomasz S. says:

There's no such thing as Windows 8 RT.
There's Windows RT, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro.
And this Arrow flies on Intel Atom, hence it must be Windows 8.

Ok kool thanx for the answers I wished Sony made the xperia tablet z for windows 8 I'd buy it over anything but I think im gonna skip surface pro and get Lenovo yoga,Acer new badass windows 8 ultrabook,or Asus windows 8 ultrabook radiant black tough screen what u guys think???

I got Yoga 13... I love it! It's by far the best gadget I've owned... And I've owned a lot:-)

diego3336 says:

What a nice tablet! It's nice to see how efficient these Atom became too...

So a nicer looking ToughPad, but not as tough?

MarkAllett says:

Shame the buttons are on the side, otherwise I'd be considering mounting one of these in the wall of my shower. Tile around it so that it's flush. Bosh, I can read WPC in the shower.

Neusyn says:

Is that the z2760 Atom? Why would I want a processor that out of date, I mean "in order processing"? Maybe baytrail and a low enough price.

Piro.Garay says:

Ahh yes, Just what I needed when I go swimming.

koenshaku says:

Woah skype in the shower that would be a good valentine's gift. Just kidding :D

dougwallace says:

Will someone offer a little more storage? Doesn't anyone want to be different and toss in a 128

theefman says:

The HP Envy X2 has a 128GB option.

Duffau says:

I want to be able to change out the ssd as I please. It will happen eventually; but when?

That would make a nice field work tablet if you get a ruggedized case for it

SuperSport says:

Yep, you could plow the corn and not worry about it raining, all the while, watching the latest episode of Beverly Hillbillies.  ;)
