Nokia Lumia Windows Phones already available from Mobilink in Pakistan

Lumia 620

Nokia is launching its hardware in Pakistan, with multiple Lumia Windows Phones heading to the market. We recently looked at the official Nokia website revealing which colours the Lumia 920 would be available in - yellow, red and grey, as well as white and black. It appears we missed mobile operator Mobilink already releasing the hardware last month. The Lumia 820 and Lumia 620 Windows Phones join the flagship in the line-up.

Mobilink has all three Windows Phones listed with some exciting offers attached to each product. While the mobile operator has the devices listed on the business section of the website, we've reached out to our tipster for clarification as to whether or not these deals are available to consumers We're pleased to relay that this appears to be the case. Good news for the general public, as well as businesses.

The Lumia 920, Nokia's flagship Windows Phone, is priced at 62,000 Rs ($630) and comes with a free wireless charging dock. The Lumia 820 has a price tag of 44,000 Rs ($450) and also comes with a free wireless charging dock to get consumers started with cable-free power transfer. Finally, the Lumia 620 is listed at 24,800 Rs ($250), but is packaged with a free portable charger to provide that extra juice when it's required most.

Nokia Wireless Charger

If you're looking at the 820 or 620, Nokia has also managed to secure three months of free Internet access. It's positive to see multiple price points being targeted, as well as a number of consumer groups. Nokia has an aggressive strategy with low and mid-range hardware, which will be pushed in markets such as Pakistan.

Another positive feature of these handsets is they're all unlocked with no carrier branding, but there's a slight downside since we've been informed that consumers will need to get a SIM card with the purchase (makes sense - but this can be fixed through cancellation of the SIM itself).

It's also worth noting that carrier billing is available, since Vimpelcom is the parent company of Mobilink. We previously looked at what the deal with Microsoft and Nokia would mean for consumers. Note that the offers detailed in this article are subject to change, so be sure to check with Mobilink before making the purchase (for stock and availability).

Nice, great news for the people of Pakistan, word on the ground are these popular handsets? Carrier billing and unlocked is great news, 3 months free mobile or wireless charger is also sweet news

Windows8Core says:

All three of these phones are available for purcahse for all customers (consumers and businesses) and we are seeing pretty good advertisements regarding Lumia 920 but, other two are not seeing that much attention.

That is odd, I would expect the 820 and 620 to sell many multiples of the 920, good to see they are advertising the 920 strongly though

tipu2185 says:

I am not sure about the current sales stats but my guess is that Lumia 620 might have better sale among three. In my opinion it has more value for money in Pakistan. If Nokia would finally launch maps and music service here, they would get much more attention. Google luanched Pakistan's maps long time ago. Also Fiasalabad a city of Pakistan was presented in one of Google's presentations. Vice President of Google Maps, Brian McClendon “It is one of the best examples I have ever seen. Over a period of four years, it went from a naked map to almost more detailed than any American city I know.”

That makes sense, thanks, had anyone contacted Nokia to see the status of Nokia music and maps? India has music already I know. Good to see the 620 available and selling.

UzEE says:

I interviewed Nokia's VP of Marketing and Analysis (IMEA Region) at the laucnh event last month. To cut the long story short, Nokia is working with the Government agencies in order to get clearance for publishing the Maps and working on partnerships for Music. Google doesn't face such an issue since its maps are crowdsourced and so Google kind of gets away without much Government scrutiny.

tipu2185 says:

I still dont understand how come they are still unable to do so. (Getting licenses for maps and music).

Sarang68 says:

Disappointing that the red 620 will not be available in India. :/

Even better news

tipu2185 says:
