Windows Phone Developers here's your chance to win a Nokia Lumia 1020 (US/Canada)

Nokia Lumia 1020

Are you a Windows Phone Developer looking to win a Nokia Lumia 1020? Nokia is sponsoring the August Developer Registration Drive where established developers can have a shot at a new Lumia 1020.

To qualify for the contest you must live in the U.S. or Canada, you must be an existing Windows Phone developer with at least one published app currently in the Windows Phone Store, and you must be an active Windows Phone developer as of August 31, 2013. This means you must have either published a new Windows Phone application or have published an update to an existing Windows Phone application within a 180 day period (from August 31st that would be March 5th).

If you are eligible to participate in the August Developer Registration Drive and have a shot at the Lumia 1020, here is what you need to do to enter.

Send the following information to ext-rich.dunbar at nokia.com:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email address (this is the one we can reach you at, one you actually check daily)
  • The link to your qualifying application in the Windows Phone Store
  • DVLUP.com username (If you haven't registered yet, go do it, it's free and you'll be glad you did)
  • Your location: City, State/Province (and county if you are in TX or CA)

Make sure you have "August Developer Registration Drive" in the subject line of your email.

Once eligibility is verified you'll be entered into the contest and your local Ambassador will receive your information who can be a helpful source on your Windows Phone development adventures. The deadline for entering the contest is August 31st and the winner will be selected at random on September 1st.

If you're an active Windows Phone developer, it sounds like an easy way to have a chance at winning a fantastic device.

Chris, where are you located? If you are in the US or Canada I can connect you to your local Nokia ambassador. They will help guide you through each step and help you along the way. Even give you a phone just for building your first app.

I'll take you up on that offer Lance. Another source I discovered last night.
