Nokia Lumia 1020 priced at Clove UK with release date and bundled accessories

Lumia 1020

UK retailer Clove has updated its website to reflect new details surrounding the Lumia 1020. The Nokia flagship smartphone is going for £588 including VAT and will be first available on September 27th. The retailer has both black and white versions listed, with yellow labelled with "availability to be confirmed."

The yellow variant is still "coming soon" with pre-ordering available over on Clove, should you wish to have something different than the usual black and white. As an added bonus, the Lumia 1020 at Clove includes an accessory bundle at no extra cost (although the phone itself is rather expensive). This bundle sports a wireless charging pad, wireless charging cover, camera grip and a tripod.

If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Windows Phone here in the UK, now is your chance to grab the handset unlocked. Mobile operators will also be announcing availability and plans. Check out our full review in the mean time.

I don't think just under £600 is too bad if you get a cover and charger and grip and tripod as well as the phone, its a good deal but I'll wait and see what other retailers can offer.

Mingu7 says:

yeah, I gotta say that accessory bundle is freakin insanely good!

martinmc78 says:

Its a steal considering the accessories cost £150 if bought seperately. Your looking at £450 Sim free.

Alex Dean says:

That insanely good looking at it that way. I was really unsure whether it was worth upgrading from a 920 but at this price its hard to say no...

ChrisUCL says:

This is good, but im still waiting for the amber update on my EE 920!

theefman says:

Oh Canada where art thou? Waiting for the Rogers unbranded, untainted version to import! :)

Sarang68 says:

Wish they could offer the same here IF it comes to India. That or the 1520.

Cubeddd says:

I already have a 920 on EE. I'm about to buy a Canon 70D. I would like a 1020 really and its half the price of the dslr. Can someone tell me what to do? Stick with my 920 and get a canon or stick with my 920 and get a 1020? Or screw it and get a guitar?
Edit: I guess I've got a decent camera with the 920 so I'm getting the Canon 70D. Hopefully Currys haves them in stock now. Thanks guys.

martinmc78 says:

Or sell the 920 to pay for the 1020?

Cubeddd says:

Its on contract so I can't sell it

DenisSuncity says:

Why not? 1020 will be sim free so you can use your contract sim.

Cubeddd says:

Hmmm, yea that's what I was planning to do and keep the 920. Its locked to EE but I guess I could unlock it using a 3rd party and sell it

As good as the camera is on the 1020 it still won't replace a decent DSLR.

Jay Bennett says:

Without a hesitation I say get the Canon 70D. You'll get much better pictures, the only time the 1020 would help is when you don't have the SLR on you and you need to zoom into something

norville2 says:

Well i had a canon 7D and found it really heavy, took amazing pictures but spent most of the time in it's bag. Sold it after I bought the 920 and do not miss it at all.
Nowadays I take far more pictures with my phone than with my SLR.

This is a very good deal indeed, to get all of this for less than £600. You'd be a fool to pass up on this offer.

woogie_burns says:

You can get the 64GB version on o2 uk on pay as you go for £599.99. If you pre order before September 25th you get camera grip, tripod, wireless charger cover and plate. It let me go to pre order but then when i went back the coming soon page then went back to coming soon and keep me ob the loop. Maybe someone pushed a button to soon!

woogie_burns says:

No, will be locked to o2. They have unlocked my previous phones (iPhone 3gs, 4 and HTC HD7) I had that were locked.

amiraseri says:

Will this be 32Gb or 64Gb version?

Mik29 says:

I believe that depends on the carrier. Its rumored to be 64gb for O2, but Sim Free 1020's will most likely be 32gb to start. I hope im wrong though.
