Transcend MicroSD cards are on sale today only at Amazon. You can grab a Transcend 32GB MicroSDHC Class 10 (with adapter) for $13.99 (that's 63% off) or a Transcend 64GB MicroSDXC card (also with adapter) for $28.99 (42% off). Get your custom Xbox One controllers from Controller Modz

46

The Xbox One is still a pretty new console, and so gamers don't have much in the way of controller choices. If you missed out on the Titanfall Limited Edition controller, you're pretty much stuck with the default black controller until the camouflage design comes along in the fall. How boring is that? Just think of everybody getting their controllers mixed up during Rayman Legends sessions.

Aliens and Farm, an extra-terrestrial game of whac-a-mole

10

Aliens and Farm is a relatively new game for the Windows Phone platform where you have to save the local farm from invading aliens. To do so, you will have to whack them back into the ground, pond, pigsty and other areas of the farm. Much like you would do in a game of whac-a-mole.

The game pace has a bit of zip and there are a few bonuses you can collect during game play to help you survive the alien onslaught.

Available for 512MB devices, Aliens and Farm may not hold up to marathon gaming sessions but if you're in the mood for something different to pass the time with, Aliens and Farm may not be a bad option.

T-Mobile posts strong Q2 revenue, adds 1.5 million new customers

85

T-Mobile posted its second quarter earnings today, and the main takeaway is that the carrier is continuing momentum as far as customer acquisition is concerned. The Uncarrier managed to add an additional 1.5 million customers in the second quarter, which makes it the fifth consecutive quarter in which the carrier added more than 1 million subscribers. The number sees T-Mobile crossing 50 million total subscribers for the first time.

INcode is a useful lookup directory for India for all your codes

65

While usually I report on some terrific apps on the Windows Phone Store (and some not-so-good ones too) here on Windows Phone Central, this post is different. Today I share my first Windows Phone app with the readers - the community that's more aware and usually critical, in a useful way.

On a daily basis, we look up details of a national highway in India, a region associated with a license plate number, or MICR code of your bank branch. A couple of months ago, I set out to build a one-stop app where one could find all these 'codes of India', and hence the name, INcode.

VLC Windows 8.1 update coming soon, Windows Phone app still not quite there yet

125

Thomas Nigro has shared some details covering the VLC app for Windows (and Windows Phone) on his personal blog. The developer notes how it has been decided for the team to drop supported for Windows 8 (and keep building for Windows 8.1), really focusing on optimization and getting everything neatly tied together cross-platform..

Shoggoth Rising looks absolutely insane, from iOS and Android to universal app on Windows and Windows Phone

78

Let's get one thing out of the way already. The visuals for this game look absolutely insane. Shoggoth Rising has originally launched on iOS and Android last December, but now it's on Windows Phone, too. You play as Ned, who has survived a shipwreck. You found a lighthouse, but you're far from being safe. Waves of sea creatures are going after you and you need to kill them before they kill you.

Head past the break to watch our gameplay video on the Nokia Lumia 930.
