Cyan Nokia Lumia 900 back in stock at AT&T. Well sort of...

Cyan Lumia 900 available for order

The cyan Nokia Lumia 900 is joining the white and black models as being available for order from AT& .  Can't really say the cyan model is really back in stock because the Windows Phone is listed as "will ship in 5-7 business days".

More than likely Nokia informed AT&T that the truck's ready to leave the Nokia assembly line to head over to the AT&T Warehouse. Which usually takes a few days.

While not the most ideal of situations, it is progress. For those not familiar with the Lumia 900, it's available at AT&T for $99.99 after two-year contractual discounts or $449.99 off contract.

AmazonWireless has the cyan Lumia 900 listed for $49.99 after discounts and $449.99 off contract. Downside with AmazonWireless is that they are listing the cyan model as "Usually ships in 1 to 3 weeks".

Thanks, mamacita42, for the tip!

Microsoft stores should all have cyan in stock! If you are lucky enough to live near one. Got my cyan there

I found a cyan handset this morning at a large corporate AT&T store in Woodland Hills, CA (San Fernando Valley portion of Los Angeles for the non-Angelinos).  The woman helping me said that they just got two cyan models in, along with a couple of white ones.  It had to be in the last day, because I was in that store several times in the last week and they were sold out of cyan and white handsets.  The unit was fully sealed, with all the phone protection covers also in place, so it wasn't a return.
Of course, this transaction followed several attempts to find a handset without that painful vibration noise.  I use my phone on silent nearly all the time.  That vibration is the only downside.  [Aside: People have described it as sounding like an electrical short, but I realized today that i reminds me more of the sound of a flying wasp, perhaps explaining why so many people find it disturbing.]  I actually ran into the regional Nokia sales rep on my quest to find a handset without the vibe noise.  Gave him the tip to download Simple Vibrator to test the behavior more effectively than the Diagnostics app, and he said that he would talk with Nokia to make sure this issue is getting serious attention.
Everyone I spoke to at AT&T was very interested in being helpful, so credit where it is due.  I spoke to quite a few reps and managers that seemed sincerely impressed with the Lumia 900.  They probably opened 8 handset boxes over a few days and let me check compare vibration noise.  Of the ones on display, the orginal phone I had that suffered a bluetooth issue, the other I tried and exchanged, and the ones I examined but didn't choose, I estimate that 2 of about 15 handsets had quite vibration motors.  One was a white handset on display, and the other was the first handset I pre-ordered that had a bluetooth issue.  The cyan model I have now is somewhere on the better end of the rattle pack.  The two excellent ones, noisewise, are a big jump down the spectrum from everything else.  In other words, number three isn't very close to 1 and 2.

I think this is why the cyan was out of stock for a long time, because of this hardware issues, they wanted to make sure this is not buying anytime soon.patiently waiting

Haven't noticed a vibrate problem on my black 900....

I don't know if it's a problem but simply that the vibration on the Lumia 900 is unique.  It has more of a rattle than a vibration.  Like the little motor is loose underneath the hood.

jdandison says:

I've noticed it too, but it isn't terribly significant. Considered going back and swapping it, but the pain of equipment swaps at my company is much worse.

Meanwhile at Rogers this mythical cyan Lumia 900 is heard of but have never been seen.

Hey all, this just in from Cupertino. You're listening to it wrong!
My black Lumia sounds different, actually beautifully different. Sorry, couldn't help it.
