Is it unlockable?

tebugg says:

If you bought the phone full price then 9 times out of 10 you can get it unlocked. I've never had a problem getting a phone unlocked when I brought it to the carrier.

If you try to unlock it from T-Mobile, you'll need to be a customer for a minimum of 40 days of continued service before they'll release the unlock code. Your best bet is if you want to unlock it, pay for a cell unlocking service online to avoid that hassle.

whatup12 says:

Will need to use it on T-Mobile for 30 days likely...

DieNadel says:

7 days required

Nazir Taib says:

Wow.. Can I buy from Malaysia? Free Shipping is nice. Might get one to replace my mother 620.

I'm pretty sure Newegg doesn't do international shipping unfortunately.

jfivieght says:

Me want; how's the battery though? Anyone...?

luiislp says:

The phone last me a day and a haft sometimes. I usually listen 2 hours of music at work and for social media. Something that's helps me a lot with the battery life is having the WiFi on at my house, work and my 2 hours periods classes.

k0de says:

Battery is not problem. Last me all day. Mostly I browse many pdf files at work.

mjrtoo says:

I get about 14 hours of battery using it off and on with WiFi and data connected 100% of the time. Bunch of phone calls, email checking, social networks, audio etc.

whatup12 says:

Question...thinking of this for my wife. I have a 1020 and she is on 521. But think she wants better pictures, etc but doesn't want bulky phone. What do you all think of 925?

Nazir Taib says:

My Lumia 925 is amazingly beautiful. It will be nice for your wife.

luiislp says:

I think is a good option but you kinda get use to uses to the size BC is a bigger sizes coming from 520s lumias

k0de says:

It is a nicer looking phone. But consider the storage. 1020 I believe is 32GB. The 925 is 16GB.

Nick Garza says:

The 925 still takes some amazing pictures ( honestly, after the 1020 its about as good as you get when it comes to smartphone cameras ) and is a perfect size.

Montpbm says:

It's an awesome phone.. And she will love it. I have one myself.

Aaron M says:

I'm pretty tempted by this.  Great upgrade for my wifes L521.  But at this point I'm thinking I'll hold out to see the crop of WP8.1 launch devices.  But I'll snatch it up if it falls under $200.

whatup12 says:

Funny...was also planning on getting for my wife who had 521. Not sure if she will really care but will eventually appreciate. :) Kind of like how I upgraded her from 710 to 521.

MSFTisMIA says:

It is a nice deal. I too am tempted, even though I'm trying to stay away from carrier branded models.

DieNadel says:

I use my L925 on MetroPCS....EXCELLENT!!!

aseferian says:

Can I buy this and use it on AT&T?

Get ready for new devices in the coming months. Time to push out the old models. Thats a reasonable price though. My L925 has improved my life more than any phone ive ever owned

ThePKReddy says:

I just sold mine for $250 two weeks ago. It had a chipped corner...

ChrisRiv91 says:

If you put a Verizon SIM card in this, I'm guessing it wouldn't work properly?  Has anybody tried?  Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a quick google and couldn't find much.

thawkth says:

It won't work.

For now, it is safe to assume that if it's not a Verizon specific model (meaning sold by Verizon, etc) then it won't work on Verizon.

The same goes for Sprint

wpguy says:

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but Verizon and Sprint don't use SIM cards.

ChrisRiv91 says:

They do have SIM cards.  I have the Lumia 928 and it has a micro sim.

bulgar4e says:

Only their world phones have sim cards and they are only used for international roaming. The sim card is not necessary or used on the verizon network

Ejay Lozano says:

If that phone had 32gb, I'd be all over it. Meanwhile I'll just stick with my L920. No black update on this model through t-mobile. Fail.

whatup12 says:

Are they not updating to black? For sure??? What about win 8.1?

MikeSo says:

Yeah, the 16GB is a problem. It's the only reason I never bought this in the first place.

wpguy says:

Until TMo officially says they are not providing the Black update, please stop spreading this FUD.

Ordeith says:

They have said as much about the 810.
And they stopped updating the HD7, and the 710 before their time so there is precedent.

wpguy says:

They have said no Black update for the 810. They have not said the same for the 521 or 925. Yet, everytime the topic of the Back update for the 925 comes up we have people carrying on like TMobile has definitively said it won't happen.

Wow! This is a great price! I'm not getting it for myself (love my Rogers 920), but my best friend, who has a 521, was just the other day telling me she wants to get a 925 she saw someone selling on eBay. I'm pretty sure this deal is even better though!

k0de says:

Yes it is. I paid $500 for mine. You should get it. Dam I should have waited.

pankaj981 says:

I was lucky to get a new one for about 100 bucks :P ...a decent upgrade for my father from an 810...i am still stuck with my Rogers 920 though

Ordeith says:

Just picked up a 1020 in eBay for $330. I am going to use it to try out aio wireless. If it works out, so long T-Mobile.

Ultimateone says:

No black yet if anyone cares

CCAZPastor says:

I do!! Come on T-Mobile!!!

jsfx07 says:

While I was in a Tmo store I complained about not being able to buy the black model and they said they could order those. You should ask.

Nick Garza says:

Annnnnd I bought one. I have a problem.....

Posted via the WPC App for Android!

It's a great phone and a good deal.

rsud93 says:

I'm very tempted by this deal.  I've been wanting a Windows Phone for a long time, and really love the 925 design.  However, the specs are midrange, and since it's almost a year old now, I'm afraid it's gonna get outdated really quickly, especially with future updates.  I have a HTC Sensation now that is almost 4 years old, and it's so slow and the battery is abysmal it's almost unusable.  Especially with the new phones that should be announced soon, I don't know if I should wait or snatch up this deal now.  Do you think any of the new Lumia phones this year will have an affordable price, and if not, will I be able to find a better deal on the 925?

MikeSo says:

You won't find a new phone for even close to this price, especially not one that fully works on T-Mobile. Guaranteed. This one MIGHT go lower, but probably not by much. Except for the Lumia 520/521 which are dirt cheap, this is pretty much as low as smartphones go.

MikeSo says:

Great price for this, and I love the design of the 925. But it feels "old" now... of course, that's why it's so cheap. Hmm...

gabrielra says:

Does anyone know if I can use this phone with another carrier? (outside US). Please answer I am really considering buyind this, I'm going to US next week. Help!

ajaykc says:

But it and then you can get it unlocked easily online or in any other country. Its not that hard to get phones unlocked.

aehhaeh says:

These are the frequencies:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network WCDMA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
Match up the frequencies with the carrier you're thinking of. Good luck!

Now if only T-Mobile would release the black update....

Jim Bob4 says:

Yes they are behind on the of the reasons I left sprint..sheesh.

ricardios says:

hope T-Mobile offers new Lumias this spring. Still using my 8x

imprezart says:

Those of you looking to unlock this to Att why not 920 for 299 at

20 bucks more but 16gb more and built in qi charging.

MikeSo says:

Much better deal with less hassle for AT&T customers for sure.

Ordeith says:

And for T-Mobile customers, why not get the 920 and use it with aio wireless? T-Mobile prices, ATT network and phones (and updates).

Jim Bob4 says:

Does it have to be unlocked for aio?

KPF says:

No family plan?

sequoia464 says:

Just picked up one of these last week, after returning a 1520. Great deal on the 920 - love the qi charging.

R2guy says:

still my favorite wp8 phone. Best on tmobile. This is an amazing deal for the quality of this phone. Only drawback to this device is that the 16gb memory might not be enough for some. Runs fast, feels great, looks good(with black charging cover), perfect size. Great upgrade from lower end wp8 devices.

Yakko Warner says:

So much hate every time I look at that page and see 810 "Not available", as I'm still paying off mine.  Makes me very negative on ever buying a T-Mobile phone again.

CCAZPastor says:

Seriously!!! Getting to be a joke

Jim Bob4 says:

ATT looking better all the time.

jfivieght says:

Thanks. I'll have to check it out. Hard to let go of my 720; its battery life is truly insanely long, but the specs are limiting.

Dafter says:

I have Lumia 925, love it! :)

kurtd says:

Too bad t-mobile won't release gdr 3. Jerks

Oakdale Dude says:

This is really a great deal for a no-contract device such as this.

I picked up a new one on ebay for $350 and thought it was a pretty good deal considering for what T-Mo is still selling it for. But for $280, it's even better.

Mine replaced a 521 and it's definately a step up. It's run flawlessly for me and is fun to use.

Is it the latest and greatest? No. But for the average user who likes the WP Platform or wants to take a chance on WP...$280 bucks is very enticing

Guytronic says:

Damn it I want one now and I'm on T-Mobile!

I don't need the newest phone the 925 seems to be a proven device.

There's got to be a way!

The wife won't like it, but I will do it anyway teeheehee ...

Oakdale Dude says:

It's a very capable device, especially at this price!

Hopefully, T-Mobile will pull their collective heads out of their collective asses and make it more capable by allowing the recent updates!

DMTurner85 says:

Now my 925 is going to be even harder to sell. I have had two ebayers not pay and am about to list it for the third time.

mjaiteh says:

I'll buy it for $200 :)

I got mine fo freee

tbradwofford says:

Also, if you use BillMeLater, you can pay over 6 months with no interest.
