DecisionMaster decides to update to version 2.0
DecisionMaster is a problem solving app for your Windows Phone (here's our review from way back when) where you input multiple options and criteria, compare these options, and find out which is the best option to pursue. In many ways, DecisionMaster weighs the pros and cons of a decision to help you choose the best course of action.
DecisionMaster was recently updated to version 2.0 which most notably adds the ability to send decisions via email and adds a trial version to let Windows Phone users try before they buy. The user interface received a slight face lift and there were a few customary performance tweaks with the update.
The premise of DecisionMaster is the same. You enter your choices/options, then your evaluation criteria, and then compare or rank each option based on the criteria. DecisionMaster then spits out how the options rank amongst one another. Once the numbers are crunched you have the options to save the decision or email your results.
For example, if you are shopping for a new car and have the choices down to a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Mustang, or a Mini-Cooper you would decide your evaluation criteria. Say...fuel economy, cost, leg room, off-road capability, top speed, or resale value. You then compare each choice against one another based on these criteria and you get your results.
All in all, the update improves DecisionMaster. I like how you can now share your results by email and having a trial version available is nice to let you try before you buy. The full version of DecisionMaster will run you $.99 and you can find it here at the Windows Phone Marketplace.
