Go for a wild ride with heavy machinery in Extreme Forklifting for Windows Phone

Extreme Forklifting

Have you ever wondered what it's like to drive and operate a forklift? You can try with Extreme Forklifting for Windows Phone. It has been available for iOS and Android, but now it's on our favorite platform, too. Head past the break to watch some gameplay video with the Nokia Lumia Icon.

The basic idea of Extreme Forklifting is to pick up pallets from point A and then drop them off at point B. Do it quickly and without damaging the pallets to get bonus points. As you gain experience, pallets become heavier and drop-off locations become trickier.

Extreme Forklifting

Learning to control the forklift is a fun challenge itself. There's a steering wheel to the left and two levers to the right. Throttle forward or backwards with the lower lever. Move the fork up or down with the upper lever. You can change the camera view by swiping left or right on the screen.

Extreme Forklifting

Once you have mastered moving with the forklift, it becomes easier to transfer pallets. There's a red imaginary line in front of the forklift that helps you line up with the pallets. After every delivery, you get a message with the base pay earned, bonus points for fast delivery, and any penalties for damaging the goods. It doesn't stop there. You move on to the next pallet.

Extreme Forklifting

Extreme Forklifting is fun for the first few minutes, but it quickly becomes repetitive. There's only one shipping yard and we don't see any option to upgrade the forklift. We'd love to see upgrades to go faster or handle heavier loads. Perhaps we'll see that in an update.

Extreme Forklifting

Extreme Forklifiting is available at the Windows Phone Store for free, but displays ads during gameplay. We don't see an in-app purchase option to remove the ads. Have some time to kill? Check out Extreme Forklifting and let us know what you think in the comments!

Loookkkksss awesome! Downloading :D

DEVM games, if you are reading this: Please make your games available here in Brazil. You can use PEGI or ESRB certification to do this. I can help.

dhruv07 says:

Man.. Create forum for dis .?? Make devs. Get to know more by contacting them directly ..!!

I already did that. But, some devs dont put their contact infos in anywhere. Is not easy to find them.

dhruv07 says:

Best you can do is change ur region to a better place like US or any other

Ok, here I go, again: I dont do this for myself, I do this for the whole brazilian community of WP brazilian users that unlikely us dont know that, or dont want to do that. I do this for the third biggest WP market in the world. Just it.

dhruv07 says:

Salute you .. M with you nd help you to promote ur cause

Do wht u can nd ask for help always dere

Thank you buddy. :)

This bloke provides a valuable service for the Brazilian WP scene. Devs read these articles and it helps gets apps published. It's not a case of changing regions, it's helping to educate devs when it comes to releasing their products. At the end of the day they will make more money.

You people don't deserve it, not after that 7-1 atleast xD lol jk. Just change your region, untill devs start paying attention to the 3rd largest country of WP users :(

I don't know how developing works, but surely there should be a 'check box' that a dev has to select to make an app universal. Sounds like the current system is not very intuitive, something which Microsoft needs to fix

I also think this and I already suggested that to someone inside the Store team. But seams that this thing didnt change...

Jan Rigerl says:

Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to look into the certification things in the next few days.

And also fix the bug which seems to make some ads appear way to big.

Result! System works.

You can use PEGI or ESRB to publish here. The submission page states that and explain how to do it. Just upload one of them in the DJCTQ place (the brazilian one), select one age rate that matches that certificate and then select Brazil. Is done. You can use PEGI to also publish in Russia.
You can instantly get a PEGI certificate in here: https://wp-rating.pegi.eu/Games/Submit
You can instantly get a ESRB certificate in here: https://autoratingtool.esrb.org/ARTclient/Windows8Metro.aspx

New version submitted to Microsoft, should be approved soon.

Thanks again!! :)

Not when you have to do it every day.

nickengineer says:

And that wee tonka toy's not exactly "extreme" now is it?

This is what I do for a living, no chance I'll be playing this game...

Nakazul says:

LOL. Work 8 hours at work and then go home and do the same for another 8 on your phone :)

How well does the job pay? Thinking of switching careers.

Old concept with modern idea and enjoyable experience...kudos ;)

CobraJ82 says:

The size of the ads in the game is ridiculous, you can't see where the forklift is going.

Jan Rigerl says:

This seems to be a bug, I'm going to submit a new version that should fix this in the next few days. Sorry about that.

CobraJ82 says:

Thank you sir.

I still have hope for Shenmue 3.

We'll be on WP15 by the time it comes out

That'll be around 2033 if it stays with the 3 year lifecycle.

I have a forklift license. I may have to play this.

How well does the job pay? Thinking of switching careers. Do you have any idea? Would you recommend it for a fellow Windows Phone user? Please tell.

simphf says:

I'm self employed now. I haven't been at that job in 7 years. My take-home was around $45 000 CAD a year plus bonus'. It wasn't strictly driving either, just a part of the job. It's fun, as long as it's not constant. But I'm easily board.

I have been a forklift driver for 1 1/2 years. Yes it was fun for the first couple of weeks, but now it's just a job.

distantskunk says:

It depends. Low end in US is 13.00, High end is 25.00 an hour.

morete908 says:

Well, I'm not too fond of propane powered sit-down forklifts.  Propanes are excessively noisy and their exhaust isn't healthy to breathe in. If it's an a/c battery powered standup fork for indoor use (preferably a Raymond), then I'd like to try the game.

King Dack says:

It wont start being 'extreme' until you get at least a JCB 926 on the go. Or a tele-handler or something. As it stands this should be called 'small scale, mundane forklifting' ;-)

ToonU says:

Crashes instantly on L520

doubleodon says:

I drove a narrow aisle Raymond (w extending forks) almost 40 years ago. Now that was a blast.
Down through the years I have also driven things up to the super mining trucks (300 ton payloads), and I would say that the Raymond took far more skill.
I would be all over this game if it had the Raymond, and did it well.

Awesome graphics Nice Control And Nice game.......But the big ad.....Thank you Dude.....for giving us a good game

distantskunk says:

This is actually a pretty cool game. Messed around with it last night and was very impressed.
