First update for Uber on Windows Phone brings in-app fare quotes

Uber

Uber for Windows Phone has picked up its first update. The app relaunched for Windows Phone a few weeks ago and has been well received by the community. At the time we learned that fare quotes, shareable links with trip map, and the ability to split fares would be coming to future updates. Today we get fare quotes with version 2.0.12.2 of Uber.

Previously, when you tapped to see the fare quote the app would take you to Internet Explorer to estimate. Now you can set your destination within the app and get a rough estimate on how much your Uber trip will take. A very useful feature if you're traveling and deciding on various modes of transportation.

First update for Uber on Windows Phone brings in-app fare quotes

I found that the prices seemed a bit high for Uber when I was doing fare quotes on their website. I don't think I'll find too many chances to use the service but I defintely won't count it out, considering my phone will now have a decent app to use! Thanks Uber

Its has worked for me, since the app launched I have used uber about 5 times. I didn't know what I was missing out on. I love that it doesn't take you to the site anymore.

so glad this is in the store and that they are actually caring about it and updating it. I used to have the mobile page pinned to my start screen up until a few weeks ago. use this basically every weekend so i really needed it.

I tried updaing the app on my 1520 since it kept saying it's the 2.0.10 version and wouldn't update

Unistalled and reinstaleld it but still takes me to the website to get the fare and it's not off the app.

Updated it to 2.0.12 ONLY no DASH 2 here on my update version for Lumia1520

ODD? Or am I missing something
