Homemade Lego dock for the Lumia 900 Windows Phone

WP Central

Baris Eris has published an article on his blog detailing how he constructed a Lumia 900 compatible Windows Phone dock out of Lego. Yes, Lego. As one can see in the above photo, the device itself sits as one would expect in a dock and is plugged in via a cable which runs through the rear of the construction.

It's highly based on improvisation with the bricks available and should you wish to attempt to create your own Lego Windows Phone dock you'll need to invest in some packs of bricks to have the required variety.

WP Central

Head on over to Eris' blog for more information and photos of his project. Be sure to let us know should you create your own.

Time to go dig through my sons' lego collection :)

There are 2 apps with the same name. Do you know which one is in the article?

nichitandrei says:

I think the app is named "Night Stand Clock"
You can find it here:

If you only could mod a Palm Touchstone to work with a Lumia :(

blends says:

That would be awesome but would probably require some contraption attached to the back of the phone since the phone isn't already compatible with inductive charging.

AriesDog says:

Now if we could some of the official LEGO apps on Windows Phone.

ahardin says:

That's pretty nice.  If you didn't want to buy a bunch of Legos just to get the ones you need, you could use the Pick A Brick at Lego stores.

goldenpipes says:

I need to build one for my focus S

TheDoros says:

I made one a while back for my X10 that could swivel.

blends says:

If only Nokia made a dock for this phone with an alarm clock app.

sting7k says:

I wish I still had my legos.
