How you know Microsoft's CEO is off to a good start...

Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella hasn’t even been Microsoft’s CEO publically for a full day, but he’s already off to a great start. 

Now he just needs to follow up with Daniel Rubino for an interview in the next 48 hours and we'll be really happy. :) Or, if not in next two days, at least at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona coming up at the end of this month.

Tweets are a means of simple mass communications. The thing is, he was an enterprise/corporate IT guy, where 140 characters of information gets you nothing. Overall, his departments were more communicative than any other of MS' divisions. They just used different channels.

For me it's all about what he's gonna do to make WP better, more appealing, more well known, and evolve quicker... That's what I want to know NOW❕

One thing we know is that the recent purchase is one of his top priorities to be successful... That gives me a lot of hope that he will seriously put his personal resources into seeing that WP software, and hardware, are competitive.. I just hope he has a more bold approach to WP as far as excitement, coolness, fun, and eye catching elements are involved..... IOW... I want to see more visually appealing aspects such as more well thought out, futuristic, animations throughout the OS....

I understand your feelings! However, Microsoft's future is going to be very dependant on mobile phones. More then 15 years ago Bill Gates was saying this! The problem is Bill Gates left the day to day business and the company was making tons of money doing other things. Like dominating the operating market and now the server market! Now they have a strong base. Now they can start hitting the mobile. Market. Sometimes it is better not to be first in a market. The XBox is a perfect example! This man sounds like he is tailor made for the mobile expansion. He has been with this company a long time and he has run one of the best operating part of the company. (Cloud Services) We will see what he does in the future. But, he has a very good base! Now he has to sell it and grow it! Let Daniel have a chat with him. He has a good feel for most of these guys! He will give us his thought's!

I saw video a while back I believe it was for a notifications concept where it showed swiping to the right.. I agree,it would be cool to have some options for swiping to the right. It would be even better if you could set it for what you want,sort of like the way the lock screen gives you the option to set what notifications you get on it. It would be cool to have the option to put.. Say the Charms bar there,or set it for quick setting,or notifications etc. Awesome!

There's actually a lot of features I miss about WinMo6.1... That's sad.
Actually, I think the custom menu pulled down on the right, and you could open it by pressing the scrolling wheel.. I think.

I think there is a lot more that cloud computing can bring to windows phone. Both cloud computing and windows phone are leveraged by mobility. And mobility is leveraged by modern human needs. Hopefully the new CEO has the vision to further connect these dots

Especially with the (very important) background restrictions to Windows Phone. Developers should do as much as possible in the cloud and save my battery. Cloud just needs to be cheaper and easier.

In order to use Xbox Music and apps on my Xbox I had to change my region to USA. In order to have a Surface I have to import it. 

I hope he is pro WP and making Microsoft services and products worldwide.

I hope this is the start of a leaner, meaner, faster acting MS. The inter-office politics and target setting and general lack of communication, within MS; this has really slowed MS down, so it has been unable to react to market trends. Hell, it has had trouble gauging opinion also -xbone, win 8, office 365, surface and the rest. MS has to get back to being the best, doing whatever it needs to to get there!

I think the greater rile Gates will play will hopefully also have a beneficial impact, though i know there have been calls for Gates and Ballmer to both back off. I think Ballmer's threat-management style was not so conducive in fostering an innovative culture - playing catch up isn't a great place to be. MS has posted fantastic results but there is so much more they can do, and better and more importantly faster. I hope this change gives them the edge and clear thinking they need.

No wonder if Microsoft is also just an eye on the NOKIA patents , as well as with the MOTOROLA GOOGLE did , and then , with the patent in hand, gave only the mark for LENOVO with the right use of technology .. .
I have the conviction that MICROSOFT is not and never has been focused on hardware , purchase of NOKIA in my opinion nothing more than a strategy , a common strategy nowadays among large companies technologies in the relentless fight for patents.
MICROSOFT MICROSOFT is not MICROHARD . Make no mistake , just look at the history of the company .
In addition to still be of extreme interest of the company selling its OS for smartphones for several other brands , thus becoming a direct competitor of the GOOGLE ANDROID ; MICROSOFT producing their own hardware alienate companies that could come to invest in devices with WINDOWS PHONE without a doubt ( remember the recent conflict between google and samsung after the release of Moto G ') . All this goes against the principles of MS .
Does anyone else believe that in a not too distant future the question will be in the air .. " WHO WILL BUY NOKIA ? "
