HTC's brought its top-notch camera hardware to the Windows Phone 8X, including an 8MP rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture and BSI (backside illuminated) image sensor. In addition, there's a specially designed HTC ImageChip on-board for faster photo capture. What that means is some pretty impressive stills. Check 'em out after the break.

These look great! I don't feel as bad about t-mobile not getting the lumia 920 now.

wizzackr says:

How do those compare to the 920, Daniel? Subjectively speaking that is

ricardios says:

Very impressive.  How' fast was the shutter speed?

rlu168 says:

should be fast enough because of the internal camera chip

romeze says:

The more I see of the 8x, the more I like it. I like the overall of the appearance vs. the 920 and Samsung. Realistically speaking I dont think I would shell out 200 bucks for the wireless charging devices and rarely use video capture, so I think I would actually get the 8x over Nokia. Not that I have a choice (verizon customer) but these pictures are very crisp and lively . Can not wait.

MadDogFL62 says:

Nothing indoor.  What is posted has been touched (up) by at least 1 piece of software.  Not something you would get if you snapped a photo and posted to Facebook.  The only camera on the 8X worthy of promotion is the front facing camera.

Not only were there no indoor photos on this 8X, but there were no XBOX games either.  The 8X has NO GYROSCOPE, so why bother downloading games?

Last, none of the above photos were saved to an SD Card and moved to a PC.  NO SD CARD support in the 8X either.

If HTC felt like they needed to copy someone, they should have taken a clue from Samsung who was smart enough to make their WP8 phone follow their successful Galaxy S III.  HTC should have simply put WP8 on the HTC One - then sit back and count the cash.  HTC is going to regret all of this arm twisting and stretching of the truth to get people to buy the 8X.  Buyers remorse to put it lightly.

Vheissu says:

Wow those pictures look amazing, although the night shots still look lacking compared to the 920 but still very impressive. I like what im seeing from HTC

Flagz says:

Very nice now I'm not bummed about the 8x being my only option for now.

lubbalots says:

I was looking forward for the Ativ S to be announced on Tmo but low and behold, changed its name to Shit Odyssey and slap it on Verizon. WP is just hard to deal with. And I'm not rich like most people here who'd do anything to get the L920.

Mohit tyagi says:

ok but Nokia Lumia 920 Have really best photo
once again WP Central site is great website guys "MODERN" I would Say
