Instant Buttons, a sound board for your Windows Phone

Instant Buttons

Need a sound effect generated from your Windows Phone? Give Instant Buttons a try.

Instant Buttons is a collection of over two-hundred sixty sounds. Sounds can be played at the touch of a button, saved as a ringtone, repeat, and the button color modified.

The user interface for Instant Buttons is about as simple as you can get. Find the sound you want, press the button and presto. You can scroll through the buttons by swiping or search for a sound by the keyword search field at the top of the screen.

Instant Buttons

Press and hold a button to pull up the options menu that include saving the sound as a ringtone, add to favorites, repeat the sound, change the color of the button or hide the button if it's a sound you don't care for.

If you scroll to the bottom of the button lists, you can also find a button to generate a sound at random and a button to un-hide all the hidden buttons.

The sound selection ranges from show tunes to catch phrases to video game sounds. You have the theme from the television show "The A-Team", the theme from the Benny Hill Show, the Gangman Style tune and even the Nokia ringtone (classic version). Instant Buttons has a healthy selection of sounds to it.

Instant Buttons is a free app for your Windows Phone that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store.

Two hundred sixty? Shouldn't that be two hundred and sixty?

GizmoEV says:

Two-hundred sixty = 260 where as two-hundred and sixty = 200.60. A very high percentage of people say numbers incorrectly making it a difficult thing to correct in society.

DavidinCT says:

Exactly my thoughts but, I dont go around correcting everyone, this is a disussion forum, not going for an award or anything....

casab1anca says:

Both wordings are perfectly valid, and in fact, "two-hundred and sixty" almost universally means 260 outside the US. "Two-hundred sixty" seems to be the standard in American English though.

Rishicash says:

When referring to the date 2013, do you say "two thousand thirteen" or "two thousand and thirteen"?  There's your answer.

How do I save a sound as a text message alert? Can only save as a ringtone, but that doesn't show up in my sounds for incoming text message.

No you can't, because WP doesn't allow it (yet?).

This app is awesome but the only thing that it doesn't have is a create your own sound button.
