Intellicam for Windows Phone 8 updated, adds front camera support

Intellicam

Intellicam is a nifty camera alternative for your Windows Phone 8 device that uses voice recognition and facial recognition to help you capture the moment. Intellicam was recently updated to version 2.1 that brings the front facing camera into play.

So now you can capture self-inflicted imagery by simply saying "cheese" or by simply looking into the front camera.

There are a few more improvements with the version 2.1 update that include:

  • Configurable aspect ratios (4:3 or 16:9)
  • You can now run the app under your lock screen
  • Voice recognition performance has been improved
  • French and Turkish support has been added

If you haven't tried Intellicam, there are two versions of Intellicam available. You have Intellicam Free which is...well...free and ad-supported that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store.  The only limitation on the free version of Intellicam is that you don't have support for the front facing camera.

Intellicam is the paid version that you can find here in the Store.  There is a trial version of Intellicam but tags your photos with a watermark.  The paid version normally runs $3.49 but is currently on sale for $1.99, which will get rid of the watermarks.
