Kevin Spacey brings first Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer to life

The first trailer for the next Call of Duty instalment has been published on the official YouTube account. Featuring Kevin Spacey as the figurehead of a private military corporation, which has kicked off an attack on the US, Advanced Warfare looks to be an irresistible release for any Call of Duty (or first-person shooter) fan. The game is slated for a November 4th launch.

Spacey will likely play the part of the game's main antagonist in the storyline, questioning the loyalties of said groups of privatized armies. From improved arsenals at hand to flying drones, the next Call of Duty looks set to bring some new toys and experiences to the battlefield. What are your thoughts on the trailer?

Kinda excited for this new COD but hearing it’s Advanced makes me sad. It will just be like Black Ops 2 which I never did like. When they set a game into the future, that game turns to be really bad...IMO.

That was black ops!It is different from Modern Warfare. But Black Ops was the best game i ever played!Awesome story and awesome gameplay!

Did you think I'd forgotten you? Perhaps you hoped I had. Don't waste a breath mourning Ms. Barnes.

Every kitten grows up to be a cat. They seem so harmless at first - small, quiet, lapping up their saucer of milk. But once their claws get long enough, they draw blood. Sometimes from the hand that feeds them.

For those of us climbing to the top of the food chain, there can be no mercy. There is but one rule: hunt or be hunted.

Wow really? I haven't been into CoD since MW2 but everything I saw of Ghosts just looked like crap to me. What was it over BlOps2 that you enjoyed?

Zombies in CoD are as over rated as Skyrim. Neither of them are good and both of them are completely stale and boring. Now if you want Zombie gameplay then you need L4D..

Lol, that's your opinion. My opinion is that L4D is as over rated as half-life, it's so dumb to shoot zombies that run around like barack obama when his pants are on fire. + I've always hated the graphical style of L4D.. There's nothing good in those games, except for the genre.

I absolutely love Dead Space! I have all the achievements in the first and most of them from the second and third games. I hope they make a sequel, 3 had a cliff hanger ending, especially after the DLC.

I still think the Snowdrop engine (Ubisoft, Tom Clancy's Division) is much better. Also I feel like the animation for Kevin Spacey's character is really bad.

Actually it is, and it's not even in-game... No expression, no move in the eyes, Battlefield and GTA already made it better. I don't say that graphics make a game but when you sell as much games as CoD you have to bring a better experience to players.

I was actually talking about how the game is not in graphics, the graphics look nice I hope that we can destroy buildings and environment and stuff. Snowdrop engine is something else.

We haven't seen the Snowdrop Engine yet.

You can make a short demo that looks good on ridiculous hardware with any decent engine, but that's not the actual game, don't expect anything near the quality of that E3 demo if you don't want end up disappointed.

Just look at the Watch_Lols massive downgrade (even on PC).

World at war was a decent on rails shooter, I got it for free when I purchased my Nvidia GTX250 back in the day lol.
This game ain't pushin crap, save your money for Watch Dogs that gonna be a killer on PC.

Yeah, I saw that Watch Dogs has additional graphics effects for PC. I think my new build will do well with Watch Dogs. Thanks for the recommendation.

This looks EPIC!

But to heck with the game...if the cut scenes are any indication I think this would make a great movie, either live-action or animated...just so long as Kevin Spacey reprises his role!

I know, this is getting a bit ridiculous. So now aparently wpcentral will now report on anything xbox related as well... How about make a different section on the site for stuff like this, otherwise windows phone news will be in the minority of the news...

In the last few months this place has become "Anything that can Remotely be Tied to Microsoft Central" - for better or for worse.

Or you could have been the intelligent one and just skipped over the story if you found it non relevant. But no, you not only wasted your own time by reading it, you also probably watched the video and then took the time to comment and reply to comments. So who wasted whose time?

Nope...I have toast notifications on for WPCentral news. So I heard the ping, had a look to see how it was relevant...it turned out it wasn't!
So I could either have stayed quiet - and potentially find myself interrupted at a future date by irrelevant news...or I could post a comment.
A stitch in time saves 9 ;)

The pic in the article makes Spacey look more like Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney Trotter from Only Fools and Horses).

Because you have played this one.....

For the record, I am not a fan of COD, I am a Battlefield guy and my last COD was World at War but if this one turns out to be better than I may buy it. I am all in for PC graphics so hopefully the PC version will be enhanced. I want a gripping story mode. I liked Crysis 2s story mode. I skipped Crysis 3 but I may take the plung if I catch it on sale.

Well it's been a long time since a CoD game actually grabbed my attention. This one definitely did. Though, it's probably more due to Kevin Spacey's brilliance than anything else. We'll see. I'm probably gonna give this one a try. On PlayStation though. But still.

Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike 1.6, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2, Starsiege: Tribes, Quake 3 Arena, Quake Live, ARMA 3, Unreal Tournament, UT 2004 and Battlefield 2142 disagree.

Nice reverse psychology going on in this game.... Implying that the US stands for freedom and democracy. What a joke!
