Ladbrokes releases official betting app on Windows Phone

Ladbrokes Betting

Ladbrokes has released a new app on Windows Phone for those who enjoy betting with the UK based gambling company. Downloading the app to your Windows Phone will allow you to bet anywhere on favorite sports with automatic login and easy-to-use betslips. The development team has added a few features to make the process seamless and it's a sweet little tool.

A neat feature of the Ladbrokes app is "Quickbet", which allows you to place bets in a matter of seconds. This is a useful addition to the experience since this is a mobile app with many only have a handful of minutes to spare on smartphones while out and about. Monitoring how placed bets are performing is easy with in-play scoreboards and everything's secured with PayPal support.

Lastly, there's the personalized homepage to welcome you to your own Ladbrokes hub, matching the customization levels of Windows Phone perfectly. If you do not yet have a Ladbrokes account, one can be created from within the app with the opportunity to take advantage of available new account offers.

The app listing states the team is working on more features for future updates are are looking at any suggestions offered by the community. Do note that this is real betting and should be approached with care.

Remember guys, you need to set your region to the UK again to download this!

Also, anyone got an idea why it is only 8.1? It is not even oficially out yet, does it use one of the APIs which allows betting apps now where before it didnt?

And the fact that this is the first betting app for windows phone has secured it as my primary use one now. Normally betting sites dont secure my loyalty and i jump from one to another depending on what deals are going on, this will definatly encourage me to use them more!

How funny. Whenever I see an add on TV where they flash the logo to say App available on iPhone or Android, I always email them to ask when a Windows Phone app will be available. I mailed them about 6 months ago, so I guess it pays off. Did the same recently with British Gas and moonpig.com - let's see....

Moonpig have a WIndows 8 app, so with the new universal apps, as longs as they can refactor for the screen, you would have thought that would be easier.

Dont hold your breath for British Gas. Just get Nest or that other thermostat that was listed on WP Central with.a WP app about a month ago.

Funky Pigeon advertise as wp as well as the other 3 platforms. And just seen an advert on tv for Asphalt 8 : Airborne showing the WP logo.

What bothers me about the submission rules Microsoft has in place, is that they forbid adult content and the glamourising of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and violence, but gambling is OK?

WPC please put if an app is for 8.1 BEFORE I read the article, rather than after? Not everybody has WP8.1 yet, nor will have for sometime to come. It's not even officially publicly released until the end of June.

Weird we have Ladbrokes in Australia yet this is not available, yet the Bet365 app also just launched is available.
