Location Finder updated, adds transparent Live Tiles and resolves OneDrive issues

Location Finder

Location Finder is a popular Windows Phone app that will find, save and share your current location. The app can come in handy if you need to remember where you parked your car or need to share your location with friends/family visiting from out of town.

The app recently received two updates of the past few days, ultimately taking Location Finder to version 2.7.1. The first update added transparent tiles and street view capabilities to Location Finder's list of features. The most recent update fixes issues surrounding OneDrive back-up/restore features.

Location Finder

Along with the new features brought about with the updates, Location Finder continues to have the ability to:

  • Geocode your address book contacts
  • Generate voice commands for saved locations
  • Generate directions to any saved location
  • Save Bing Places to your address book
  • Pin a secondary Live Tile for current, Geocode and reverse Geocode locations

Keep in mind that the transparent Live Tiles will be only available for devices running Windows Phone 8.1.

Location Finder is a solid navigation app for identifying your current location, sharing it as needed and navigating back to it. There is a free trial available to let you try things out before buying and the full-version of Location Finder is currently running $.99.

  • Location Finder - Windows Phone 8 and 7.x - Trial / $.99 - Store Link
