Lufthansa app now available for Windows Phone 8

Lufthansa

The official Lufthansa app for Windows Phone is now available on the store. We previously looked at the airline having an app for Microsoft's mobile platform in development, but it's now live and ready to go. From booking flights, viewing timetables, checking in and more, the app is a rich experience, providing tools and features and passengers require when heading to and from the airport.

The ability to store boarding passes within the app is a neat addition. Flight status updates can be configured too be sent through as push notifications to keep the user up-to-date with what's affecting said flight. The team notes that this is not a final release and they'll be looking to add more features and functionality to the Lufthansa app in the future.

You can download Lufthansa from the Windows Phone Store (Windows Phone 8 only). via: BestBoyz; thanks, Benny, for the tip!

As a frequent flyer on Lufthansa, this is extremely awesome.

Always Great news when an official app is out!

Even though I don't fly Lufthansa often, it is just one more app that we have that users on iOS or Android can't claim that we don't have. :)

Best airline in Europe, as far as I know.

Jazmac says:

I wonder what is going on with JetBlue. Big airline don't need to bother or what?

gamepop says:

I am pretty sure JetBlue is much smaller compared to Lufthansa

Jazmac says:

Is that right? They don't have carrier routes in the US but here in the US, JetBlue is huge compared to Lufthansa.

Why does it need access to my appointments?

S_C_B says:

Probably can add/delete flight appointments to your calendar.

The Swiss airlines app sends you an email with the appointment, this way your data stays confidential.

Instagram?... Maybe on the 11th.
