Nokia has announced that they are aware of a bug with the Lumia 710, where a user disconnects from a call but the screen continues to report the call as being connected. Not only is this a visual irritant, it led users to believe that they were being additionally charged for the delayed call ending.
Owners took to the Nokia support forum to cry out for assistance on the issue. This is not the first problem Nokia Windows Phone owners have come across, with the 800 being plagued by battery life issues. Official Nokia Support representative 'Unwired' published the following statement:
"Nokia is continuing to analyze this software issue and is close to a fix. The fix will be made available via Zune as soon as possible. It is difficult to say when. One other important fact about this issue is that the phone modem is responding to the call disconnect signal from the touch display, the call is taken down as it should. The issue is that the user interface displays the call disconnect button but is should not. Consequently consumer are not being excessively billed for a call that seems to be staying up."
Good news for owners of the handset that a fix is well on its way, and that no additional charges will be applied to your bill, but until the update is released a reboot will be required to rid the pesky call screen.

Is this specific to Nokia? I have this issue occasionally on my Samsung Focus.
Not specific to Nokia. I had that problem on two previous HTC Titan phones. But this 3rd one seems to work properly.
I had it once with my Omnia 7. I figured out that it was something to do with hard drive space
No problems for my HTC Titan!
I had this problem with my two previous Titan phones, but this 3rd one seems to be much better. On the first one I had I had to hit the Disconnect sometimes 5 times before it responded.
My HTC titan has done that twice actually :-/ but it hasn't happened in a while

I'm not sure if this is a Lumia 710 specific issue. I've had the same problem twice on my HTC Titan and maybe 5-6 times on my old HTC Mozart.

I hope the fix will work for every WP7 :)
My husband also has the same issue with his Optimus.

I haven't experienced it on my LG Quantum. I always make sure to have 500MB free space.
I REALLY hope the 900 is released with very few and very minor glitches. Not a good look.

Neither my wife nor I have experienced this problem with our HD7 phones.
My HTC Arrive displays the call screen for a few seconds after the call disconnects almost every time. Does that mean I have the problem too?
MS needs to get a hold of these minor bugs before they get out of control and start to form a negative reputation for WP!
Happens occasionally on my Lumia 800, I have to turn off the device the make it work again.
