NoDo Update Ceased for Unbranded Samsung Omnia 7

There have been a continuous stream of reports and complaints about failed updates (or no notification at all) since NoDo first began rolling out and now we've learn that the Windows Phone team have ceased the Samsung Omnia 7 NoDo roll out. From the image above, you can see a reader querying for any information regarding unbranded devices, however the answer provided by Michael Stroh (consumer writer for Microsoft) was rather generic and could either be all Omnia 7 handsets will not receive NoDo for now, or just unbranded. I would go with just unlocked since Three have successfully rolled out the update to their Omnia 7 army.

We suspect the issue will be fixed soon (which Michael stated) and the NoDo delivery promptly resumed. Have you been experiencing any issues with the Omnia 7 handset, specifically unbranded?

I have an unbranded Omnia 7 and I haven't received the update notification one week after NoDo started rolling out for unbranded or "open market" phones, so I got sick of waiting and used the Hungary thingy trick to update the phone. I just hope I didn't mess something up doing this. Phone works fine, didn't notice any new bugs or anything.

My Omnia 7 never "randomly" restarted before NoDo but after NoDo it restarted once when I tried to launch official Twitter app (but this did not happen again). Considering that it never unexpectedly rebooted before, I'm a bit worried.

As much as it sucks waiting for updates I'm glad MS is being proactive instead of retroactive.

More Samsung related problems? And some people say HTC is bad when it comes to drivers and stuff.

Why doesn't microsoft just setup zune or a website will all the updates sitting on it. this waiting for notification is crazy. A lot of people are not going to get NoDo because of this.

This is just another reason why I am refusing to buy a WP. Other reasons are the fact that you have to buy "Windows Certified" MicroSD cards, not to mention they STILL don't have front facing cams. They should really standardize the OS so ALL the WP get the updates as they come available rather than by each individual WP model.
