Nokia confirms Qi standard Wireless Charging in Lumia 920

The Lumia 920 was announced today at the Nokia Windows Phone 8 press conference in downtown Manhattan, New York. Among the specifications and features presented was wireless charging, which will please many who don't enjoy fiddling with USB cables.
This is a new feature to the Windows Phone platform that enables Lumia 920 owners to recharge their smartphone by simply resting it on top of a supported accessory. Nokia will be releasing its own charging units, including plastic mats and Fatboy pillow units.
Making use of the Qi standard, we'll likely see public charging stations / mats being used to top-up Windows Phones. Exciting times ahead.

What I'd really like to see is wireless charging for the car. I'd love to have a charging station there. I'm always putting my Lumia 900 in my cup holder. I'd absolutely upgrade if all I had to do was place it in a location in my car and not have to plug in every time.
