Lumia 630

Nokia has announced that its latest budget handset, the Lumia 630, is available for sale in Malaysia. The device is retailing for RM549 (around $170), and is available in white, black and yellow color variants.

Lumia 630 Malaysian launch

The Lumia 630 is the first Windows Phone handset to support dual-SIM functionality. Although there is a single-SIM variant of the device, it isn't available for purchase in Malaysia.

Other specs of the Lumia 630 include a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with Nokia's ClearBlack technology, Gorilla Glass 3 scratch resistance coating, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, microSD card slot (expandable up to 128GB), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HSDPA, 5 MP camera at the back (no front camera) and an 1830 mAh battery along with Windows Phone 8.1.

Thanks Aldo for the tip

Hey guys when can we expect a in-depth review of lumia 630?

Nazir Taib says:

Ya, I'm also waiting for WPCentral review for Lumia 630. If the price is correct in Malaysia, then it will be in between 525/620. The price is lower than 620, but higher than Lumia 525.

Akash Patel says:

in india the dual sim price is Rs 10500 (same as the price of lumia 525)  whereas there is still no clue of single sim 630 and 635.

When they find Flight 370

weetigo says:

Nokia went with a 900/2100 3G band modem this round, unlike the 1320 which included that and also supported North America's 850/1900 3G bands.  Too bad, was looking to import on release :(

With this price, is that 630 gonna replace 5xx series?

Sean Eu Chng says:

Hi, why is my 1520 having so many issues since I bought it from Jan 14. There are screen blank, white spot on the screen, front sensor ... etc.
there is only 1 month I use but I need to go Care Center almost every weekend and my phone need to left for technicians study, that's what they said. According to Nokia care center, I can't replace with another new phone even thought one day I purchased.
I love Nokia products so far, but the services dying me all the time, I had a worst luck for buying this phone and that's what I can say.

Damionix says:

I would like to buy this for my Father, but I am in Houston, TX. Please can anyone direct me to where I can find the Dual SIM version to buy? I can't find it on Amazon, Ebay, Rakuten, etc. I want this phone and yet Nokia just makes it hard to find. The sellers in India do not want to ship to the States :-(

cybermoose89 says:

But not the UK no excuse tbh

dikku11 says:

apart from the Dual sim and OS i dont see any reason for the people to buy this phone which do not include  light sensor and proximity sensor

BlackberryZ3 cost only $20 more and offers 1.5gb ram+5 inch display and 1.2ghz pocessor. The only things its missing is the dual sim but other features compensate on that.

Blackberry z3 is only available in Indonesia right now, and even so, in an even fight (taking brand out of the equation), a budget Indonesian consumer would probably choose the 630 because dual sim is much more important to them. Most have a GSM and CDMA sim for cheaper voice rates. $20 is a big deal to these guys too.

+630! FYI, I'm from Indonesia.
