Nokia Lumia 1320 passes through the FCC

Nokia Lumia 1320

The Nokia Lumia 1320 is getting ready to hit the market. The mid-range Lumia device with 6-inch display has just been spotted on the FCC website. The documents don’t reveal any information we haven’t already uncovered from Nokia World earlier this year. The approved device appears to be the Global variant since it supports LTE bands 3, 7 and 20. The carriers in the United States use none of those.

Nokia Lumia 1320 FCC

The Nokia Lumia 1320 features a 6-inch 1280x768 display, 5-megapixel camera, microSD slot, dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, and more. It’s a phablet like the Nokia Lumia 1520, but at a more affordable price. Check out our hands-on video for more details.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 will be available in a choice of orange, yellow, black, or white. It is planned to be available first in China and Vietnam followed by other Asian markets, India and European markets. It will cost about USD 339 before local taxes and subsidies.

Fiann says:

Why would it need FCC certification if it isn't being sold in the US?

rodneyej says:

Because the US government Likes to stick their nose in others business instead of focusing on what's going on here on our own soil.. They care more about helping out foreign people than making sure Americans are taken care of first, which would be fine, but I don't see those other countries making Rodney's financial issues their top priority... :-)

rodneyej says:

You're the type who says the pledge of allegiance while mailing in your tax payment... Lol❕:-):-)

Abdal says:

It is price is less than Lumia 820 but more slightly higher than Lumia 720 !!! It is an All-rounder device like Lumia 720. The only disadvantage is internal storage. 8gb is so low in this generation !! This time size of OS is more than what is used to be in wp8+gdr2+amber. Now imagine the future updates. I have at least 500 mb left in my Lumia 720. All i need is the ability to install apps and games on sd card like we used to be installing in previous Nokia days.

toph36 says:

It appears the ability to install apps on a micro-SD card is coming, but you might have to wait a few more months. I agree, 8GB is too small, even with the micro-SD. I could argue 16GB is too small.

Clavitox says:

For this type of phone its not really

JKing106 says:

Hey, here's an idea, Nokia and Microsoft: instead of making bigger phones, how about fixing long, outstanding issues with the software first? You know, like separate volumes, VPN, alphabetized settings list, having the dialer tab actually take you to the dialer instead of call history, some way to organzie tiles on the Start screen instead of having to download a 3rd party app to do it? You know, the blindlingly obvious things that should have been done right the first time, but you stubbornly won't do anyting to fix, even a year later?

Nawzil says:

Most of the things you mentioned are getting "fixed" in Windows Phone 8.1

JKing106 says:

Really? And when will that arrive? March? October? 2015?

Nawzil says:

February 29, 2016.

JKing106 says:

Lies. It's September 2019.

Nawzil says:

How about May 25, 2025?

Don't worry the update will be available to your grandsons

rodneyej says:

Alphabetized settings list❔❔.. Well, right now it's a prioritized settings list... So, why can't we have a option for how the list is displayed❔... I'm not about MS changing the way certain things have been on WP since the beginning, rather I think they should present the OS with more options to fine tune the individual experience... Some might like the list as it currently is.. The only way to please everyone is to add more options for things such as this.. Nevertheless, you have a good idea, and that would make it easier to find things.. Both ways have their place.

JKing106 says:

Agreed. At least give me an option.

rodneyej says:

Be patient.. It's always paid off for us with WP.. It's gonna be all good❕❕

Idzaudin Idz says:

Does Lumia 1320 capacitive button light up?

Nawzil says:

Isn't Lumia 1320 already available in some countries??

1jaxstate1 says:

More gadget spam. They are like the Blackberry of old, and the Samsung of new.

psiu_glen says:

That actually worked well for both of them (at the time) so it might not be too bad.

Clavitox says:

Well I feel like at least its manageable. Numbers are a lot easier to keep up with than names

juanynfante says:

Why nokia didn't do the l1520 corners like the one in the 1320

rodneyej says:

Because they didn't... Are you hoping there's somebody from the design team on here❔.. Lol❕

juanynfante says:

Lolzzz not really, just a opinion.

rodneyej says:

I was being facetious;-);-);-);-)

Looking forward to trying this out in the real world. Really liked it from the brief time with it at Nokia World

Hope it comes to US and on every carrier we need the variety of carrier choices for people who want Windows Phones and one more I got a Nokia Lumia 520 for $50 on black Friday along with an Xbox one shirt lol so now there is 4 Nokia Lumia 920s,2 Nokia Lumia 900s,1 Nokia Lumia 820,1 Nokia Lumia 1020, and 1 Nokia Lumia 520 in my family oh and 2 HTC Titans

I've been doing my job getting people to switch have you all got any body to switch and if so how do they like it?

Graven Pshya says:

I almost did. But they were moving to Sprint.. Which doesn't have a great line up of Windows Phones when compared to the current Android... Maybe next year.. Maybe next year.

jhayEL says:

I had convinced my boss to buy Lumia 920. We accompanied her today to get the phone and she so loved it!

reb31 says:

32MB is too small - hopefully we'll have 64GB model soon...

Llordy says:

pierrerv says:
