Nokia Lumia 625 heading to TELUS on October 3rd; will be priced at $300

Nokia Lumia 625

The Lumia 625 is an interesting and unique Windows Phone from Nokia. Sporting a massive 4.7-inch display, the largest found on any Lumia smartphone (until the Lumia 1520 comes along), the handset is for those who enjoy looking at huge screens and boasting sizeable hardware. According to MobileSyrup, the Lumia 625 will launch on TELUS this coming Thursday (October 3rd) and will be priced at just $300.

That price tag is for an outright purchase, you can also pick one up for free on a 2-year contract. It's definitely worth looking at, especially if you're seeking a bargain, but wish to have something more than the Lumia 520.

As well as the 4.7-inch display (at 800x480 resolution), the Lumia 625 also features a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, supports LTE, packs 512MB RAM and has 8GB storage for all your media (microSD support is present). See our unboxing and first impressions for more details.

Massive 4.7 screen? In Nokia's view maybe. Nowadays even the mini versions (SG4 and HTC one) boost 4.3 screens. 4.7 to 5 screens are the norm today (with notable exception of iPhone).

I would like to see this on US carriers... All US carriers❕.. In all colors❕❕

kleider1 says:

I agree, Nokia needs to have a single phone that's available for all carriers.

rodneyej says:

Yes,, and then the exclusives wouldn't be so annoying..

chezm says:

Wow, very cool news...good for Telus customers...getting a lot of Lumia choices.

When will Bell be getting some lumias?! I'm tired of buying unlocked phones just to get my WP fix.

Superzar says:

Time to leave Bell. They have overpriced plans and don't support their phones.

squire777 says:

Now that BB is pretty much dead it looks like Canadian carriers are finally getting back on the WP bandwagon

DarrenSproat says:

Yes, it is nice to see a modest selection of Windows Phones show up in Canada.

Strange. They don't have it on their coming soon page.

Nokia lumia 625 is already launched in India. Cheout the review here- http://www.mobilejury.com/nokia/nokia-lumia-625-review-a-4-7-inch-luxury/877/

its nice but compared to the ativ s its screen is much to be desired with having WP7 standard resolution instead of 720p
