Nokia Lumia 710 headed to WIND Mobile

WP Central

Good news if you're on WIND Mobile as you'll reportedly be getting the Nokia Lumia 710 sometime in the next few weeks, at least according to Canadian phone site Mobile Syrup.

Not much else is revealed like pricing but the site is promising more details soon from their tipster who is supplying the information. The Lumia 710 has a snappy 1.4GHz CPU, a 3.7" ClearBlack screen and a 5MP camera making it an ideal budget phone for many.

Perhaps this shouldn't be too surprising as WIND runs the same 1700 AWS bands as US T-Mobile, meaning they tend to mirror each other for releases: TMo gets the Radar and so does WIND. This just seems to be another case of the same.

Source: Mobile Syrup; Thanks, Joel R., for the heads up!

Awesome news. I'm with Wind and finally WP is making a footprint in Canada on the budget carriers with the Radar and now the 710. If only Mobilicity would do the same because it also is on the AWS Network as Wind and T-Mobile. It is a pentaband phone as it was already noted when the phone came to Rogers and it worked on Wind once the sim was cut to a mini. So why are the rest of the Nokia phones not that way? All Wind needs now is a higher class WP to go up against the Galaxy Nexus. Those two phones won't make me give up my T-Mobile HD7 although I would appreciate the ability to send MMS messages since I've lost that feature on Wind because WP does not allow you to tweak those options and HTC Connection setup does not remedy the problem. Yet somehow the Radar can, I Assume, and the HD7 doesn't.

This is definitely great news for windows phone because wind can help it reach the budget minded canadians

good, got a friend eyeing 710 but wasn't sure if it works on wind, problem solved now :D
