Nokia Lumia 800 now available in Venezuela on Movistar

WP Central

Good news for those in Venezuela, the Nokia Lumia 800 is now available exclusively on Movistar for Bs 4,399 on contract.

The Lumia 800, featuring a 3.7" screen, 1.4GHz CPU and 16GB of storage has been taking the world by storm, hitting numerous Latin and South American countries in the last few weeks. The launch of the Lumia 800 follows Microsoft's recent launch of the Windows Phone Marketplace in the same country back in early May, allowing users in that country to gain access to the nearly 100,000 or so apps and games.

That's. Cool

migueltoro says:

Why do they keep launching devices that would be dead in less than a week. Something is not quite right...

hyperova says:

You could charge it?

migueltoro says:

From an OS point of view

holyfetzer says:

Why should it be dead in a week?

migueltoro says:

Because when MS announce that the current Lumias won't get WP 8 (within a week) they're gonna be nothing but beautiful bricks...even the 2009 iPhone 3S will get iOS 6.

venom5150 says:

Have you confirmed this with MS? Guess I will throw my brick away if it's true because my Lumia will be useless. Will I not be able to use the phone or browse the internet? How about hotspot my phone or receive text? Will the screen still work? Let me know so I can contact ATT today and trade it in for a 3gs so i can get integrated Facebook. Thanks in advance.

Hey Miguel, do you know for sure if my Lumia 800 is going to stop working next week? I'm suing Nokia's arse!

migueltoro says:

Is not gonna stop working, but you gonna feel a bad taste in your mouth for the next two years (even if you deny it to your friends, your cat and your shrink, the memory of an outdated beautiful piece of hardware will haunt you from time to time)...and so do I as an owner of a Lumia 800 my self.
