Nokia Lumia 820

If you couldn't get tickets to the Nokia Deadmau5 Event or simply won't be in the London area today, you can catch all the excitement online. The event is to celebrate the successful launch of Nokia's latest Windows Phones, the Lumia 920 and 820.

The Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 Windows Phones will be available in Singapore on December 8th, according to Hardware Zone. Priced at $899 and $699 respectively, the Nokia hardware will be stocked by all three operators - M1, SingTel and StarHub. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for the flagship Windows Phone to sell out due to stock shortages.

If you've purchased a new Nokia Windows Phone over the past few days, you can cash in on a free set of Nokia Monster Purity headsets (the in-ear models). Just head over to NokiaHolidayHeadset.com and fill in the blanks, print off the completed form, include a copy of the original sales receipt and UPC/barcode from your box and send it all into Nokia.

UK mobile phone retailer Unlocked Mobiles has the Lumia 820 in stock, and is claiming to be the first in the UK to do so. The Windows Phone is unlocked and is capable of achieving 4G speeds with a compatible SIM card inserted. Should you wish to pick one up, the device will set you back by £394.98 ($630).

The Lumia 920, Lumia 820 have joined HTC's 8X and 8S Windows Phones over at the M1 Shop. The mobile phone retailer will provide an option for those residing in Singapore to make the purchase with the choice of four high quality Windows Phone 8 handsets. 

Windows Phones are taking the top spots over at Amazon Wireless on its "top rated cell phones with services plans" list. But a few positions in the top ten aren't enough it seems as a total of seven spots are taken by handsets running Microsoft's mobile operating system.

Nokia's 'Free Wireless Charger' page has been live for a while, but registration isn't quite ready / open yet. The Finnish manufacturer has however published the terms and conditions, which reveal exactly what will be on offer and who will be eligible for said free gear. Those who purchase either the Lumia 920 or Lumia 820 through Phones4u will be able to claim a free wireless charging plate.

Nokia has an offer open for those who have purchased a Lumia 820 through O2 UK. Free wireless charging shells are available to enable wireless charging when used with supported docks and stations. The offer is available until January 18th, 2013. Unfortunately this offer is restricted to O2 and only covers specific dates.

Windows Phone 8 continues to provide us with new devices. While much attention has been given over to the Lumia 920, the 820 has some compelling features and specs that should appeal to many. Sharing some key specifications with the higher end Windows Phone 8 devices along with options for wireless charging and expandable storage it’s certainly worth a look.
