The Lumia Icon (previously known as the Lumia 929) is a custom Windows Phone designed for Verizon Wireless in the United States by Nokia. The phone is expected to be released in early 2014 and will be Verizon’s first ‘phablet’ Windows Phone. The phone had been speculated as coming in late 2013, but internal delays pushed it back.
Featuring a 5-inch, 1080P display, the device is a follow up to the Lumia 928 but features advanced hardware, including 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, Qi wireless charging and a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. The rather large phone also features a 20 MP rear PureView camera with oversampling technology akin to the Lumia 1020.
