Nokia releases Goal.com 2012 Finals app for Lumia Windows Phones
Another day, another exclusive app from Nokia available to all Lumia owners. Today, the Finnish company released Goal.com 2012 Finals. The app is a must have for those who watch soccer...errr...football as it will deliver "breaking news, exclusive interviews, video clips, team profiles, player profiles and 'Road to Euro 2012' which looks back at how each nation qualified for the tournament".
The app has multiple Live Tile support as you can pin your team to your Start screen with updates reflected on the tile (under Settings). It can even remind you when a match is about to start which seems extremely convenient to us.
Overall, the app is smooth and nicely laid out and while we not huge football fans here in the States we can see many of our European friends being thrilled with another great Nokia release.
Pick up Goal.com 2012 Finals for your Nokia Lumia device here in the Marketplace.

This is freaking amazing!
TheDarKnight says:
Nokia should 've built the original goal.com app.
markiz says:
Yeah, I was really waiting for that one and it turned out really, really bad.
Hampus says:
I'm a hockey fan! Though this is great for you football lovers!
Crushing Destroyer says:
I know the NHL playoffs could end tonight, but the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) has a really nice Hockey app - Hockey Night in Canada. I dont know if its available outside of Canada though.
pLUSpISTOL says:
Daniel, it's definitely 'footy' :D
Nokia - you're awesome, using a hack to get this on my Omnia7 (but I've enticed 3 people to buy Nokia 800's and a 710! Plus my next WinPho? Nokia w/Apollo!)
SlayerSpecial says:
Thank you Nokia, even knowing Finish team is a bit poor you did this.
Crushing Destroyer says:
Very nice app and I like that it is showing my time for kick off.
mmoses1978 says:
Yes yes I love it, more football apps please.
SlayerSpecial says:
I take it back, I can't find it... Only the average old Goal.com.
Crushing Destroyer says:
Try scanning the code above, thats what I did and had no problems.
maxschels says:
Man! I want this!
Htc sucks after 1½ years!
siente_el_impacto says:
Because of an app? Get over it! HTC does not suck, at least they have a sound enhancement app that Nokia or any other OEM still hasn't created.
maxschels says:
No because of all the apps not available for htc.
Ok, I would love the titan 2, the camera is great, but I'd prefer nokia.
Shane says:
It keeps getting better for us Lumia owners! Love it!
thenet says:
Yeah thanks to Microsoft for saving.there ass from failing Symbian phones
Just Visiting says:
Lol! Well, for the record, Symbian devices are still outselling all WP devices combined :)
Nonetheless, it is Nokia that has put Window Phone on the map - moreso than Microsoft, Samsung, HTC, and LG combined!
But finally, Nokia has a beautiful OS in Windows Phone that they can couple with their great looking devices.
TheRealSel says:
Nice!
thenet says:
Soccer sucks. Go LA Kings win today
skwarek#wp says:
I love hockey too, but no comparison to soccer. Now I can finally ditch scoremobile FC for a month.
TheDarKnight says:
Yeah it does really sucks, coz every single country in the world plays football (soccer) including the US, oh also they have a "world cup", but only NHL fans knows what's LA Kings (I had to Bing it)... So yeah soccer do suck!
SlayerSpecial says:
Why American sports teams have these weird names: La Kings; Dallas Bears; Washington Knights... Seriously,. !!! :D
Ewass says:

Smg-Uk says:

Nokia is kicking ass. What's a good stock watching app WP? ;-)
Hammered Pizza says:
Not a Lumia owner, but not feeling cut-up in the slightest about this. Already a perfectly good (and 100% official EURO 2012 app, which also has news on the tournament.

skwarek#wp says:
Unfortunately it's not available everywhere like the goal.com app
theefman says:
Yep, not available in the US so Nokia done us a favor. :)
Tomasz S. says:
You're not missing much. The UEFA/Orange app is full of commercial bullstuff, while the goal.com simply sticks to the point.
Appmek says:
That's not an official app, has nothing to do with UEFA as they rightfully point out in the app info.
The Goal.com is really superb, must say, but I don't see why Nokia should get any credit for that!
Hammered Pizza says:

This is not f....ing right, what about the other users of windows phone
skwarek#wp says:
It's absolutely right. I had HTC Surround, and they did nothing good for it. So I switched to Nokia and loving it. Shame on HTC and Sammy for ignoring us. They will not get any more money from me.

Everyday someone is always bítching about an app. You are directing your frustrations to the wrong people, apps aren't everything
WinFan1 says:
not a big fan of soccer but to each their own now when nokia secures me a gamefly app thats when ill jump for joy :D as an avid gamer i care more about getting my stuff on time and being able to easily mess with my queue rather than adding effects to photos and games on my phone :D but thats just me all you soccer fans enjoy :p
markiz says:
