Oggl gets updated again, seems faster

Oggl Windows Phone

It seems like it was only two days ago that Oggl and Oggl Pro were updated on Windows Phone. That’s mostly because it was just two days ago. Here we are and see two updates for Hipstamatic’s apps in the Store. Let’s go check out what’s new in this quick update.

Two days ago Oggl and Oggl Pro received a small update that didn’t come with a changelog. We surmised that it was just bug fixes and/or other optimizations to the apps. Today we see version 1.2.1.156 in the Store for both Oggl and Oggl Pro. And again no new changelog. It looks like just another round of bug fixes. Although, it does seem faster.

Want to get in on the photography action on your Windows Phone? If you have a Nokia Lumia 1020 you’ll want to get Oggl Pro in the Windows Phone Store. Everyone else (including the Lumia 1520) will want Oggl, which you can also get in the Windows Phone Store. QR codes are listed below, first up is Ogg and second up is Oggl Pro.

The update served to bring back centering tools for imported photos. The last update had them removed (again).
Unfortunately the "centering" tool is still useless as the App still isn't capable of saving the picture as you centered it.

Also, on the L920 the frames seem to be taking longer to aply.

Yup. I can now center better (before it went in the opposite direction) but you're also right, it doesn't save it like that. So close, so close...

DJCBS says:

It's been doing that (not saving properly the recentred one) for over a month. It's a bit sad/frustrating that they haven't been able to solve the problem yet =\

I've write them several times about that centering issue. I hope the fixed it but nothing... I'm not going to use the app until they solve that.

It's true that choosing filters and other things work better but cropping is a very basical feature that still does not work.

:(

Definitely faster. WAY faster...

Seems faster, it's a joke right LOL......

Lmao. "Seems faster." I love this running gag but where did it start?

I think it's just the go-to placebo effect and it became a joke in comments. We're taking it to a new level though :P

KQ17 says:

Definitely comes from the FB updates that didn't change a thing and various posters were always saying it was faster.

NIST says:

Maybe everything just seems faster to Sam.

I love this app but couldn't share photos via mobile data cos that's what is mostly available here in Nigeria. Beautiful lenses and films, the crop photo tool/feature still doesn't work, too much heating on my Lumia 920. I just don't know why there're so many bugs in this app, probably it's hell of a task coding on Windows Phone 8 OS cos the iOS version works seamlessly. And the most annoying thing is that the Hipstamatic team hasn't been able to fix the basic functions of this app since release. I'd thought Nokia would help out with some developers but nothing impressive after all.
