Pic Stitch is now on Windows 8, make collages anywhere

Pic Stitch for Windows 8

Pic Stitch launched on Windows Phone 8 back in late April. It was a popular app on iOS before coming over to Tile Land. It’s a collage maker that grew in parallel with apps like Instagram. When it came to Windows Phone it also brought the ability to edit photos thanks to the Aviary SDK. Now all those features can be found in a companion app for Windows 8.

Pic Stitch is an app that is fairly popular among the Instagram crowd. While apps like Instagram and Oggl do a fairly good job at giving creators a variety of filters to apply to photos, there isn’t any way to create collages. Pic Stitch does that and more, especially with the Windows 8 version. What can you do with it?

  • Create photo collages
  • Fine control over the borders
  • Edit photos with Aviary
  • Import photos from your PC and social networks (Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, and Flickr)
  • Export photos to social networks (Tumblr, Facebook, and Flickr)
  • Print physical photos through Walgreens

Pic Stitch for Windows 8

Pic Stitch for Windows 8 is pretty nifty for its first version. You’ll find around 200 layout combinations for creating collages, but if you don’t find any you like you can create your own layout. You can pull images from a variety of sources. You can grab photos on your PC or from a variety of social networks. Once added you can edit them using the Aviary SDK for Windows 8. You’ll have filters to apply and can make adjustments to things like contrast.

Once you’ve made your collage and edited the photos within you can do a variety of things with it. Feel free to just save it to your PC. Or get social and share it with networks like Flickr, Tumblr, or Facebook. And if you want to share with grandma, you can print it at Walgreens though the app and pick it up in person.

Pic Stitch for Windows 8 will set you back $1.99 (no trial). If you’re really needing to collage it up on your Surface you can get it here in the Windows Store

Thanks for the tip Joseph!

I love the simplicity of pic stitch, hope the Win 8 app is successful!

larspassic says:

Although I wish they would kindly update the WP8 app to make higher res pics.

abond32 says:

Same here. I hope SkyDrive supports highRes photos soon.

Peter Crook says:

Where is the trial version

Sam Sabri says:

That's what I'm saying! Microsoft has given devs great platforms (WP8 and W8) where creating a trial is relatively painless.

"Thanks for the tip Joseph" that's ME!

Agree - the amazing hi-res pics taken on my Lumia go all low-res when the app processes them :-(

Khoa Lai says:

I bought it, and uninstalled it.

Guakala says:

Is this worth the $1.99 over free Fotor?

NIST says:

Fotor is great on Windows 8, its a little weird on WP8. Different UI.

Khoa Lai says:

I love the app, but the icon is ugly.
