PIX2PPT for Windows Phone 8, PowerPoint made easy

PIX2PPT

Need to build a PowerPoint presentation from your Windows Phone 8 photos? Give PIX2PPT a try.

PIX2PPT is a Windows Phone 8 app that builds PowerPoint presentations from your Pictures Hub photos, lets you add text, set slide advance times and more. Any PowerPoint presentations can be uploaded to your local, Office Mobile folder or to SkyDrive. PIX2PPT is a nifty presentation app for your Windows Phone 8 device.

When you first launch PIX2PPT you are sent to a thumbnail gallery for your Camera Roll gallery. You can move to another photo gallery in your Pictures Hub by tapping on the folder button at the top of the screen.

PIX2PPT Image Selection/Slide Creation

To choose a photo for the PowerPoint presentation, just tap on the thumbnail to send them to your selection bar (at the bottom of the screen). At the bottom of the screen you have directional arrows to move an image to a different position in the presentation, delete images selected, a delete button to remove them from the selection bar.

From the three-dot menu you have options to add a text slide, add all pictures, clear the selection, start a new presentation, view things at full screen and view the about screen.

PIX2PPT also has a built-in text file manager and you can pin text files to Start screen for a quick access. You can also add those text files as PowerPoint slides; PIX2PPT automatically formats the content of a text file as a bulleted list or a section header slide depending on the number of stored text lines.

Once you have all your pictures and slides chosen, just tap the check/continue button to go to your presentation options menu. Here is where you can give your presentation file a name, add a title to your presentation, set your slide orientation, set an auto slide advance timer, and an option to resize your images.

PIX2PPT Options

From the options screen you have three buttons at the bottom of the screen. One to go back to the image selection screen, one to open the presentation, and another to upload the file to your local Office Mobile folder, Skydrive or a Hann Server.

From the presentation view you can view the slides individually or as a group and from the individual view you can add text to the slide. Unfortunately you can't re-order the slides from the group view.

PIX2PPT may not be a full blown PowerPoint presentation creator, but it's just enough to build nice presentations on the go with. There is a free trial version available that lets you build presentations with up to five slides. The full version of PIX2PPT is currently running $2.99 and you can find it all here in the Windows Phone Store.

Try a new word document with bulleted list. There is no way to start a bullet list.

Are you sure? Even smart office app on Symbian has more functions and features than office mobile. Android and ios should have many more better document editing tools
Really disappointed by Microsoft's stinginess.
