UK Premier League Fantasy Football app now available for Windows Phone

Fantasy Football

Fantasy 12/13 is now available for Windows Phone. The app, which has recently been published on the Marketplace, enables football fans to keep up-to-date with their fantasy football team from the official Premier League website.

If watching matches and playing video games aren't enough to quench the thirst for football action, taking your fantasy team on the go while you venture out into the world is surely going to be a handy distraction. It's a highly popular platform that requires a strategic mindset.

Fantasy Football 2012/2013

After registering an account (which can only be done on the website), the player can then log into said account and configure his or her fantasy football team by adding (or removing) players, managing formation and more. From then on, matches, transfers and point tables can be viewed for details on how the league is progressing.

You can download Fantasy 12/13 from the Marketplace for $1.99 (£1.49). Thanks, Steve, for the tip!

I created an account here just to say this...Yesss bloody yessss! I don't know how they justify the $1.99...surely this must be free, no? Buy still, this app will be used daily and will propel me to fantasy greatness in the upcoming weeks!

Sorry for the off topic comment but I have a suggestion for the next podcast.
I suggest that each of the guys choose one of the 3 top phones and make a case why that phone is the best. Hardware vs hardware and "known" specs vs "known" specs. And just to be fair Daniel has to choose something other than the L920 and also leave out nokia's exclusive apps and support,,,,just focus on the phones.

plp85 says:

Er what does this have to do with a fantasy football app?

sicnus says:

Hi, just checked... This is for soccer not football. Please make a note of this, thank you.

No its both depends on where your from and if I might add my opinion its the best sport in the world!

SSK the Gr8 says:

Its football not "soccer"

sHAYM4N says:

Yes just checked. Its definitely football, and not American Rugby.

Tahiti Bob says:

This is football, the real one. The US just made up another name for it.

sHAYM4N says: I think the second sentence pretty much nulifies your argument ; )

erwt says:

Soccer as a word, is only really used in the US or when making the distinction to an american. When the rest of the world talk about Football, they refer to what you would call Soccer, because you know, the ball is actually handled by your feet... As opposed to American Handegg.

sHAYM4N says:

eRWT educating the masses ;-)

Sorry no, soccer is actually used in most English speaking countries around the world. And, the term soccer originated in England.

Premier League is the key term here, not association football or gridiron football. Why would you even assume that if there's no gridiron football league with that name? Barclays premier league is internationally known to be England's top association football league

fishfingers says:

Is this the original?

Tezler says:

If by "original" you mean official then yes!
The Premier League out-source their mobile development by the looks of it.

sHAYM4N says:

Team registered: The sHAYM3N.  Watch us soar! Shame there's no non-league fantasy apps, or even decent non-league apps in the marketplace :/

Tezler says:

I hope this is a sign of things to come and that the larger players/apps start making their way over to this platform. Want to see Sky, and PaddyPower follow next :)

blushrts717 says:

Awesome, although I will waste too much time tinkering with my team. Someone should start a WPCentral league.

beebl3brox says:

Would be nice to be able to logon...
