Prepare to lose yourself in the vast world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher

Today at E3 2014 among the other AAA announcements was a teaser trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game is a vast 'no man's land' open world title with players being trained to become an effective hunter. During the teasing trailer, viewers witnessed the hunt of a griffin, which was wounded enabling the character to follow tracks and finish off the kill. It's quite the gory RPG and will be one for those with tough stomachs.

Players will be able to interact with people in the open world, as well as engaging in numerous combat scenarios. Magic is available (as one would expect from a game such as this), alongside a mystical sword, which was demonstrated in the presentation. If you loved the likes of Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, be prepared for Witcher 3.

We'll be covering E3 2014 this week so be sure to remain tuned!

This looked pretty awsome.

The Witcher has nothing to share with the TES Series. Also, books are awesome.

I've played The Witcher and The Witcher 2 before. Honestly, The Witcher 2 was the best game I have ever played. Definitely getting this one.

Could not stand the mechanics of the Witcher but loved the story, the Witcher 2 was freakin amazing!
The Witcher 3 looks to be another Gem!
A Definite Must Buy!

Gory, ha? I see what they have done there. Skyrim used a theme of a masculine hero with special kill moves to make the player feel powerful. This turned out to be a very successful theme. Now the Witcher is trying to capture a similar essence to that by introducing this wild hunting thing and get you feel the beast inside. Smart move, but lacks the lore and magic of the Elder Scrolls. I'm still very interested in playing this game and seeing how it fairs.

You gotta be kidding me. The excellent books and the previous games = the lore.

WIther by HBO after Game of Thrones. That would be cool. <3

Still need to finish two. Controls frustrated me.

KjBleau says:

This may be the one that gets me to buy the one ... Unless it is an Xbox 360 title too, then I'm staying put

Just started Witcher 2. Liking it more than DAO so far and I'm a big Bioware fan.

Are the Witcher games as buggy as elder scrolls? Looks awesome but I'm unfamiliar with the quality/polish of the series and I'd like to save myself the trouble of looking forward to it if the games are routinely buggy on console

MetaG85 says:

This is a series known for its supreme polish. Do not skip this title if your in to this genre. :)
