Rise of the Tomb Raider announced for holiday 2015

rise of the tomb raider

Square Enix used Microsoft's E3 2014 press event today to officially announce Rise of the Tomb Raider, the next game in the long running Tomb Raider action-adventure game series starring Lara Croft.

The announcement didn't give much information on the game, but it did show Lara undergoing what appeared to be a therapy session, most likely due to the events she encountered in the 2012 Tomb Raider reboot. The trailer also showed her exploring some caves and firing her bow at enemies. Rise of the Tomb Raider won't be out for a while; it's due for release in the holiday time period of 2015.

Definitely a must buy

DJCBS says:

Another great game... That'll only be released in 2015. I guess 2014 is the year for people to save money for the 2015 releases.
Now... where's GTA VI...

Don't hold your breath ... 2016 if we are lucky

DJCBS says:

Well... Let's see. I don't think it would do them much good to announce a game so far in advance but hey... I've seen developers doing worse things.

Rehan Saleem says:

Don't you wait for GTA VI....Where is Sleeping dogs 2?

maclancer says:

It will be compatible for old system? Like the PS3?

DJCBS says:

If they release the game for the PS3 too, sure. I don't see why they wouldn't but...

ChrisFricke says:

I didn't really like any of the Tomb Raider games until the 2012 version. I played it with my son on PS3 (taking turns watching/playing) and we enjoyed the heck out of it. Looking forward to the next one :)
